Lemons submitted a new resource:

Gear.mac - Output formatted gear and stats for sharing and tracking

Simple macro will output your gear to an ini file named "CharacterName_Gear.ini" in your Macros folder. The contents can be easily snipped or copy and pasted into Discord or your forum post.

The macro started out as a quick little thing to share how badly geared my toons were. CWTN and I have been bouncing it back and forth since.

The data is formatted into columns HP | AC | Mana | Slot | Item Name

Thanks ChatWithThisName for adding in aug and powersource stats and other additions.

/mac...

I liked the look of this thought it would be helpful. Ran it on my toon and it says outputting to toon_gear.ini. When i look for the file name it doesn't show up on search, i don't seem to have a macro folder either. Suggestions?

It definitely writes to the Macro folder. Are you sure you dont have multiple folders somehow?
And dont look for toon_gear.ini look for Luxar_gear.ini whatever your toon name is.

Could also type gear .ini in the windows search window. It will search your entire computer for any files named gear.ini
It must be there somewhere....

Lemon, is there anyway to get the augs out of the gear as well?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I'm sure Lemon can add it, but there's also a macro called gearlog that handles reporting augs as well. I've modified it for my own personal use to include other data (such as the aug type and slot as separate columns)

Unfortunately, it doesn't work in my test today.

I like this mac, but yea, augs are essential and such a PITA to track

Have you considered posting on the Gear Logging Macro thread with the issues you're seeing? Or were you replying to my post (about an alternative macro) with concerns over this one?
I thought I did, but I was remiss. Posted now. However, I was mainly concerned with this Macro, as the feature would be amazing to add.

For those playing along at home, I created a Lua script based on the logic in the other macro and sent it to @Shadow for testing. I'll probably submit it later, but I think it could use a bit more testing. If anyone is interested, send me a message.
