Problem - Game Freeze as soon as i launch Kiss

After loading the /mac kissassist , all everquest will freeze in 10 seconds.

Then you have to reload all clients.

Any clue?

I've had this happen in the past, not sure what the cause was. I think its happened whenever I first make a change to a KISS config file, not sure. It has gone away for me now and everything starts up super quick. Post your ini that you're using and hopefully we can help. Also, how long does it freeze for and does it freeze for every char using KISS or just one?

Fixed, was only the first time of a INI file for each char.

The first time you run kiss it writes aliases to the ini, this can take up to 5 minutes. It depends on how fast your computer is. You will experience this as a "freeze"

I plan on overhauling the add alias function but haven't had time yet.

It's usually smart to keep in mind that if kiss gets a major update don't start your bots in an unsafe environment.

I logged in a group after patch day one time once MQ2 was updated in a room with mobs. Normally I could log in and start everything and be ok. But Kissassist had to write aliases and I ended up wiping while it did it.

What was causing me to freeze up shortly after /mac kissassist was that I needed to right click the Nortons icon and disable smart firewall until restart as well as disable autoprotect. That fixed it, never happened again.

Or you could just uninstall norton all together. [emoji1]

Nortons is probably the first thing I uninstall when I find a computer with it. The second being ANY internet toolbars a person has managed to collect over their years..... I've seen some people with like fucking 10 internet toolbars taking up almost half their page.
