I decided to make a new set of toon from 0, and to level them without any powerleveling. So here is the way i took, with the macros i used. I hope it will help you.
I'll edit the guide during my leveling with what i used to lvl, the places i choose, the macro i used, what i did buy, etc etc.
I'll add the link to the macro and will add them too in this post.
My set of toon is SHD, CLR, ENC, SHM, RNG, WIZ.
They all are FTP toons and don't have TBM or Eok. (Hoping for TBM to unlock with the new expansion)

.. and don't forgot to click thx on the links i post, the creator will thank you a lot.

SO, here we go.

Lvl 1-2:
Once characters were created, i zoned into the tutorial.
For the tutorial, there is a very good little macro wrote by @LamahHerder.
It's Newtoon.mac.
With this macro, you will complete the tutorial with the main task in it. You'll get the charm, the sow item, and the fellowship clicky.
The only thing missing is the hail to arias once the jailor is dead. You'll have to do it manually.
This macro will end in pok once you'll get the fellowship clicky.
Very usefull one.

Lvl 2-14:
Once the previous step done, just head to Cresent Reach to xp some.
Start near the entrance and use KissAssist, a f**cking awesome macro wrote by Maskoi.
For this part, it'll be simple. Just get temperance on your toons before going to CR.
Put Melee=1 on all your toons, even on the cleric if you want, and let the fun begin.
At this lvl with temperance, there is almost 0 risk of death. And mobs will die pretty fast with 6 toons on them. You will gain levels in few mins, and even some cash loot or armor to ger them.
Once you have some cash loot, go inside CR with your main looter , sell the loot and buy some more bags, you'll need them.
When you are level 5-6 go past the bridge and continue to kill, mobs will be higher, and you'll get more xp.
Set your tank as puller.
You can move around this area for more challenging mobs.
I did this to lvl 14. Why 14??? Because, in my mind, at the start of EQ, it was at this lvl that we started to get some interesting spells.
So go back to pok. and with the 1st billion of cooper you got, go buy the spells for your rocking team.
You can also buy them bag. 10 slots bags of course. More slots > more loot > more cash.
Look at bazaar to for some upgrade, but mainly for tank and healer in a first time.
Once done. Go back to Moors.

Lvl 14-22:
I did these levels near Pok book.
There are plenty of mobs there, and high enough to get some revelant XP again.
You'll get some more gear, armor in the meantime to gear your toons some.
Once around 20-22, you can stop and go back to PoK.
If you have a guild, it's even better go in the guild hall for an important part of the process. The casting Skills

The Casting Skills
You fizzle... you fizzle.. you fizzle.... you are oom... yeah you know what i mean.
So once in the bath on the guild hall, i looked for a nice macro to work on casting skill and found one wrote by @Fluffy
Nice macro to skill up.Select the spell you want to use to skill up and it will chain cast it.
Here is the link to the macro: Leveler.mac
While this one was running, found another one that works a lot better : Cskillup.mac from Maskoi.
With this one you can practice all skills at the same time. And you can practice them in the custom guild halls btw.

Lvl 22-30:
Now that you can cast np. Head back to moors. I found a good spot mentioned on RG Forum. Thx Eqgeek for the infos. The spot is very nice xp until lvl 30
Here is the link to his post. And the picture of it is here
Once lvl 30, go back to pok for your spells and to guildhall to practice skills :).
You won't have a lot of skill to practice normally, but don't forget to practice skills often (especially the ones you don't use a lot.)
At this step you can also start to configure your .ini files for each toon to use them with KA.
You should also start to look for some gear. Check bazaar as often as you can. to get some more hp / mana / ac depending on toon.

Lvl 30-41:
While i was configuring th inis of my toons for their new spells i decided to have a look at RG website and found out a nice quest.... the bone chips quest. Btw thx Razkle for this work.
Unfortunatly, that quest was nerfed back in 2016 and no longer give XP. So it was time to find a new leveling spot for my gang. Watched a bit moors map and found an appealing spot to try (btw, was crossing finger to not wipe). Here is a pic of the spot i found, nice and fast xp and pretty easy. at lvl 35, some mobs are still yellow to me...
Now lvl 38 here and xp is still good. You can even drop some ornate defiant gear too, which isn't bad and will help to gear your toons.
The skeletons repop pretty fast there, so you won't run out of mobs. But you need some decent dps to do it the safe way, but the xp is really worth it.
I stayed there until 41. At 41 everything is light blue so i left camp. Omw back to pok to buy the new spells, and some gear upgrade.
At 41, time to get some flowed defiant gear. Need as much mana as you can on caster to maintain a nice dps.

moors spot 30.jpg

Lvl 41-55:
Hard choice to make now... should i go to mesa, or to the actual hotzone for 40 or 45?? Will have to test that to see where i'll get the best xp rate.
I tryed draknik, not revelant. i think i need a few more levels. Emerald jungle wasn t good xp even as an hotzone since mobs were too low. so i decided to head to mesa to kil some napaea. Xp seems to be pretty good there.
And some loot too. Will have to see if it 's good cash loot or not.
Time to move back to dranik another Oow low level zone for some xp. The new part here will be to find a camp with enough mobs to have constant xp with almost no down time. Now that i got some lvl, it should be easier. Why coming back to these zone? It's simple. Actually all the people that raid , and even other are working on their trade skills to max their artisan augs. And in these zone, some augs drop that are used for JC and as far as i see, people are really paying a lot for these kind of augs. So some xp/grinding/farming could be more usefull there. If all goes like that i think you can make a nice amount of cash in no time. I have seen some of these augs going for 500k or so on my server. But, be aware, some are very rare.
That will make you a good amount of cash to buy some new stuff or items on your wish list.
The Oow zones are good xp and not frequented. So they are good spots to quietly lvl up.
If i had to count, i would say i m making something like 1k pp per hour.
At 55, all the camps in Dranik should be light blue so not worth it anymore. Time to go back to Pok again and update your spells and gear now you are a little richer.
About that, there is a very nice macro i discovered. It's scribe.mac. Once you have opened the merchant window, just launch it and it will buy all the spells you need at your lvl and will meme them. Thx Sym for the macro, it's awesome and a lot less time consuming.

Lvl 56-65:
From 56 to 58, Plane of innovation is a nice zone and not frequented a lot. Plus, you get some tink loot that sells for cash. Nice amount of pp :)
You'll get these lvls pretty fast normally. Once 57 or so you can zone to Bastion of Thundern which is a nice xp zone too. You can quietly get some level there. On a plus side, there is some nameds you can kill for loot or for tribute. They have some good tribute price.
The zone isn't frequented so you won't run out of mobs.

Lvl 65-75:
At this level, PoFire C2 is the way to go, you won't run out of mobs. The castle is full of them. You'll get too some nice cash loot and tradeskills loot. Keep the TS ones, you'll have an use for them. Especially the ones for Smithing.
Set up a camp where there are a good amount of mobs and run the macro :) You can have a nice cup of tea or coffee in the meantime while looking at your xp bar. The XP rate there is still very good. You'll lvl pretty fast there.
A few hours and you'll be 70.. and a few more and then you'll be 75.
At 75 you'll have 2 choice. Or you continue to XP just with your group... or you PL your toons by joining a 105s group.
I prefer to grind XP just using my little group, it's a lot more fun.
And ..... OH 75, new gear available :) the last stage of defiant armor.... Gear Upgrades INC!!!!!!!!!!

Lvl 75-85:
At lvl 75 i decided to come back, to one of my favorite zone... Valdeholm. Don' ask me where in vald, you already know that......the pit.
Decent Experience, and some loot, alone in the zone... time to plant a campfire... and make a BBQ.
Nice cash loot and a lot of spells are dropping. Time to farm some plat again for the spells and gear upgrade. The spells you'll loot are Rk2 ones so just sell them.
In the meantime, i discovered a very nice macro made by Dragonfire: Skilling.mac
With this macro, you can almost skill up everything. It's an awesome one. I am using it a lot.
With everyone working on their tradeskills, it might be usefull to use it on some toons to forage, fish etc TS items and sell them :)
With the price going on some ts items, you should be able to feel like a billionaire in no time.
For the armor from TSS, if you prefer to use it rather than defiant, you'll have to go to Direwind or sunderock before to farm them and get tier 1 ones. In vald, you ll get the PS to upgrade it to tier 2.
Depending on the classes you play, there is some must have items dropping in that zone like The Guardian's Pouch or Deepbelly for bards.
Casters and priests have a nice quest to do there too: Ancient Tomes that will result in a very nice aug not prestige: Runed Diamond

EXTRA
With your FTP account you can make up to 2 chars per account. Using the same way to make them hit lvl 57. Why 57? because at 57 you can group with a lvl 85 char. So at this stage, you can use your 1st group to PL another toon on each account.
For this i would use Razkle's Guide: PL Guide 59-75 EasyMode Dragonscale Hills.
To set the camp, it's easy. Put your 57 toons in the same fellowship than the others. Bring the big ones (lvl 85) there! Plant campfire and then use it :)

Lvl 85-105:
For this way, you need to actively play at least one of your toons.... or there is another way i'll talk later...
Many of us did many of them.... yeah you found what i am talking about.... DH HA.
These are pretty decent XP and some loot can drop in it. Unfortunatly u won't be able to use the currencies you get until lvl 100 since the other vendors only sell prestige loot. SO my advice would be to XP to level 92. at this level, you can buy and wear RoF T1 gear which isn 't prestige. You'll get a nice bonus hp ac to grind in DH even faster. Once you 'll reach lvl 100 you could spend your currencies on gear. and even do other HAs to get more items from there.

More coming soon!!!! Stay Tuned

PS: Sorry for my english.
PS2: It 's hard to resist to the PL temptation :D

The fellowship Registration Insignia. The item that allow to teleport you to a Fellowship camp if you have one up
Oh, I guess I misunderstood what you said in the first post. I was thinking that this was an item that came only from the tutorial zone, and I was thinking I had missed out on something! Thanks for clearing that up for me :)

Yeah, trying different place almost each day, to see if xp good, cash loot good, and if kill rate is high enough.

- - - Updated - - -

If you plan to run some coa to gear your toons, staying in the OoW zones is a good plan to raise the faction for the armor.

Updated 10/15/17: Added another macro to buy and scribe spells

35 - 45 city of mist
45 - 55 Grieg's End
57 - 62 plane of tactics
60 - 65 plane of fire (first big area)
65 - 70 plane of fire (2nd big area)
70 - 75 looping plains (crocs)

it has been a long time since I leveled. but that is the route I used. City of Mist, Grieg's End, and Tactics are ridiculously awesome

MrPatate, French ?
Don't apologize for your english, this is a GREAT guide, not quite the road i'm taking, but i've always taken my toons to 75 without KA :)

How long is it taking you to go from 1 to 75
Not playing them every days, so can't really tell you how long it takes.

But i'll do the same thing with PL with another set of toons once these are done.

As long as people understand what i am trying to say lol ;)
And thx. Trying to make it the more efficient i can without the use of an high end character.

Takes me about 18 hours to go from 1 to 75, with wizard in group, so pl'ing 2 toons basically.

Adding my 2 RedCents to this : to speed up the lower levels, which can be tideous especially if you've done rerolls quite a few times, feel free to grab a mage or druid DS with your Temp AND get some low level DS potions with it, they stack with the spell, that's around 40 dmg for the DS and at those levels, let's just say mobs are history very very fast :)
I also took a bow from tutorial and lots of crappy arrow to ease the pulling process.
Going smoooooothly :)

I know I like to use PC from 5-24ish it is almost always empty on any server i have made characters on. Right now especially with all the box hunters I like to use older zones. Crescent Reach is great xp close to everything AND the starting city for every character made after the TSS expansion and has people constantly going through the zone. go in from the Shade Weaver's Thicket entrance at the lower levels and basically work your way across the zone to the Shadowhaven side. The zone drops just about everything you need while you are going, food, some weapons, defiant gear, and thrown items to help you pull. Drink is the only thing I don't remember dropping in there. If you go through the tutorial to completion then you can start on the Shadowhaven side much easier.

AND if you want to make them near invincible then give them cool Jewelry! For weapons and armor you cannot beat the DEFIANT armor for your levels.
Rich (BB code):
•Solo, Duo, Trio and compartmented Jewelry and Augments

The base jewelry comes in 5 types you can make/buy

Rings
 Earrings
 Pendants
 Rings
 Veils

Solo : One slot only, takes a type 11 gem/augment

Duo: Has two slots, takes a slot 11 gem/augment and a type 10 gem/augment

Trio: Same as duo but has an extra type 10 gem/augment

Compartmented jewelry comes in the same configurations but has an EXTRA type 7 augment, the ones you loot everywhere.

So basically you need to make/buy a base piece of jewelry and a 1,2 or 3 gems/augments.

•The Base jewelry

The jewelry is made from different metals and to get the best stats you need to be at least the recommended level. The higher level jewelry is worse then the correct jewelry for your level!

Silver (Solo, duo, trio ) : recommended level 1
 Electrum: level 10
 Gold level 20
 Platinum level 35
 Velium level 45
 Palladium level 55
 Dwerium level 65
 Temporite level 75

The augment slots are slot 10 and slot 11, so choose the augments carefully, most fit one or the other but not both, but some do fit both. The trio items have 3 slots, 1 slot 11 and 2 slot 10. I've colored the dual slot ones.

Because these are not lore you can have mulitple items. Make one set one max mana, one for max resists, one for max regen.
But you CAN NOT have 2 of the same stones in the same ring. In any one ring, the stones must be different.

Buy the jewelry:
Derium trio bracelet, earring, ring, veil, pendant, etc.
 electrum trio ......

Buy the slot 11 augment (can be cut jewelry or a cultural augment)
 Buy the slot 10 augment(s)

Combine the slot 11 augment first, then the slot 10(s)

so going by this chart, your level 1 gets the most bang for your buck from GOLD Trio with 3 gems in it, 1 is the Extruded Underfoot Diamond and 2 others that will assist your class, you MUST get 2 that are not the SAME and give you stats that help your class, more hp. more mana or more AC accordingly.... the underfoot should yield about 500hp/mana each x 5 at level 1 and as you get closer to 20 it will get better.... using above gold trio will get you a nerfed item that wont be good until you get closer to the level of the item.

I usually give them the gold set, then don't touch them until about level 60 with the Palladium set

I'm levelling up a new char and I've given them a gold set with the underfoot gem + some other random fillers in the other slots ( In gold trio ) And even though the rec level is 25, at level 25 I'm only seeing 10AC, 190hp, 145 mana/end etc - but the true stats should be 35ac, 635hp, 485mana/end. Am I missing something here? These been nerfed so I don't get the full stats? The full stats are very OP and I can't complain at the stats I have at level 25 becasue still very OP at that level. I just don't understand why at the rec level i'm not seeing full stats? :(

Many of us did many of them.... yeah you found what i am talking about.... DH HA.

What is the "another way i'll talk later"?

What is DA HA? I assume DA is some zone and HA is Heroic Adventures but after looking through the zone lists I seem to be missing which one is DA (Zam is down right now so I am using other ones)

Dead Hills Heroics from Gribble in the little camp area. ETWK expansion. The first one he gives, Into the Hills, is the easy one that everybody ran constantly. Does have a lockout timer, so you can do the other 2 from Gribble once you unlock them by completing the 3 in order once. There is another guy in a nearby tent that has more if you want to keep going, but I found those too involved to keep running. The reward tokens let you buy some lvl 100 and lower gear/augs.

There is a nice tank/melee rare clicky drop from the named mosquito in the first Gribble too. Blood Drinker's Coating - 3 minute self buff (10 min recast) - Absorb 2% of the dmg you do as healing. I may be forgetting how this worked, but I recall it only drops from a certain lvl of the run, meaning the named has to be a certain level to have that particular drop. Maybe the 100-105 version.

If you have a "teleport group to bind" porter, it is a good place to bind them until you are sick of running the HAs. As I recall, you have to run to Dead Hills the first time, then use the DH portal to ETWK once, then you're attuned to use the reverse portal in ETWK->DH. The portal area in ETWK connects to a bunch of other zones with similar Heroics if you like running them. There is a Bixie HA one that is also popular.

From 85ish to about 100, Fungal Forest. It's a big open zone with mostly animal type mobs that are easy to single pull. Lastly, like most Underfoot zones, it is a complete ghost town and I can probably count amount of people I see visit in a week on one hand. You can also do Feerot the Dream, but due to it's close proximity to PoK and HoT it gets a lot of traffic and is not good for running KissAssist IMHO.

My crew is hitting 100 now and I'm scoping out some more good hiding spots. I'll post back when I find them. Beasts Domain has potential but I haven't found a good camping spot and I keep getting splattered by named mobs that spawn. I guess you can farm the farmers in Valley of Lunanyn if you don't mind blowing your faction but I'd rather not go that route.

Sorry still learning all this

If you want to change the assist % in game, just type /assistat 98 or the % you want.

So I recently found this guide and have been following it on my new team - Paladin - cleric - chanter - zerker - rogue - bst. The pally - bst -and zerker are on my pay accounts the others are on FTP. The additional macros have been great to get spells up to date, and I used the leveler mac to catch up all my casters skills up which has been nice.

So far the team has been soaring along, though I have noticed on my server (bristle) some of the areas are still very busy. So I thought I would toss out some of the places I have used in some level ranges, as well as ask what areas have others been using.

In the 40s I probably moved around the most - I spent some time in Mesa. I went out and tried EJ but agree it was not worth the trip. A short stint in CoM - but ran into other groups. But I am also a fan of Velks since it is almost always empty these days. I moved my way up as the team leveled and spent a lot of time at the doggo camp up top, I believe we stayed there until 50-51 and made some decent cash from the drops.

In the 50s - Started in Innovation - Spent a lot of time in Griegs - this place was still awesome XP, easy to get to, and was empty. Just moved more towards the back as we leveled.

60-65 I moved into Crypt of Decay and camped the zone pulling puslings. We paused at 65 to farm some AA on the FTPs.

65 is where I have been having more issues - I went to PoF, but have been surprised at how many people are in there. I have not been there yet where C2 was open. The field is perma camped for names - Im guessing achievement hunters. I managed one good session in C1 and managed 67 - but was hoping for some other ideas on good places to quietly park my team and grind away peacefully.

I know its an older thread - but was hoping some others that still use the route may read it and chime in.

I think a couple of the most overlooked zones are LDON's which are really good exp and nice forages for tradeskills, and Dranicks Hollows. The Dranick's are easily to port to now that they have the second Priest in the Lobby.

The one time I tried C1 I found it boring and not very beneficial compared to these two. Plus, since they are instanced you don't need to worry about other players camping. And I always run the heck out of the daily hot zones starting at level 20. I will stay in the zone after the kill 5 for the special aug or just all that bonus exp you keep getting!

Getting a Temp for you and your merc and purchasing DS pots in the Baz after you do this quest from Vorpal Chickens guide :

Level 1 to 12 - Easy Mode
Req's: Druid/Wizard (Alternate way is to bind the caster close to the rock and TP to bind toons directly there, just make sure they have invis on )

Make sure you get a levi / perfect invis from wizzy /druid and TL to glacier falls. Druid spell I think is 1 zone over. Picking up the rock will not break invis.

On the floor you will a stone, what you need to do is teleport your toons you want to start to be PL'd to this location and pick up the stone,
Now all your toons should have picked up an item called Shattered Krithgor Keystone take this to Librarian Hemfar (can be found using CTRL-F) in Crescent Reach, you simply hand this in and BOOM! level 12+

Make sure to have your merc out when turning in for a free Merc AA.

Also I just attack one of the wolves after I get the rock for a free port back to CR

So I did 65-70 in Dranik's instances - very nice tip there. ( and I got a nice hammer for my paladin)

Knocked out 70-75 at Icefall Glacier.

Found a cave full of kobolds which proved to be nice exp and I walked out with a handful of RKII spells.

*fast update*
Went to Valdeholm with my newly minted team of lvl 75's. Picked up all spells-reworked some INI's. - for those like me that have never done this zone as the guide suggests - these guys can not be mezzed or stunned.
Also as a hot tip - research the place better than I did. Wraithguard Sergeant Aerik is not a named to be pulled lol, he is a quest NPC - he has a few million HP and ran my entire team out of mana by the time we had him to 90%. Glad I set down a campfire before I engaged that monster. Once the summoning started only the rogue with vanish made it out alive.

75-77 update - went rather smoothly in Riftseekers Sanctum (easier to get to with guild portal dropping you pretty close) and was totally abandoned even during the xtra xp weekend.

77-78 so far I have been working worgs in Looping - pick up the quest - mass murder - rinse and repeat

Another update!
Sorry if I seem slow - I have enjoyed getting back into boxing a full crew so much I made a second group to work up a warrior tank to complete my set of tanks. And I don't get to play every night.

Anyway - Looping got boring really fast. So I took the long and dangerous run out to Ashengate, and this place has been amazing for me. Pre-80 I stayed near the zone in. Pulling the mobs in the entry area (6 total) and then pulling north as they are super easy to pull singles if you watch the few path walkers in the area. There is also good pulling to the east - orcs and battle swine - but it is a lot easier to get adds so keep that mind if you don't have CC with you. I have easily cruised to 80 in this area. The mobs can hit hard, but seem to have lower HP so they go down pretty fast. The run to here is awful ( mage CoH would have been awesome here)- but the exp is nice, the drops are pretty good, and so far I have been generally left alone during my play times.

At 80 I did some shopping - mostly for the tank and on a limited budget and gave him 3 pcs of terror infused and a HoT weapon / shield. I got a new weapon each at least for my melee dps and a few random jewelry pieces for everyone in the bazaar really cheaply. All basically House of Thule t1 drops, any of the crafting based updates were very pricey or not available and I have not leveled up trade skills yet. With the tank getting a large infusion of HP and AC we are now walking the halls and getting good exp and still decent loot. I would stay out of the West wing however as it turns into a bit of a train wreck compared to the others.

I did try a Gribbles HA pre-80 just to see - and while my group was able to do it - the boss fight was a total pain. The exp was quite good, but concerns over doing the bosses consistently and quite frankly the idea of just doing the same mini zone over and over lead me back out into open world zones. To each his own in this department - I think I prefer setting up shop in a nice quite corner and murdering all night to running the groups through the little missions over and over.

Once the exp in Ashengate starts to slow down I believe I am going to head into the House of Thule zones. I am guessing 82 ish. Will see how we do in The Dream and work my way towards the front areas of House of Thule.

The team is 82 now. We worked our way out to try a couple of new zones - first we tried Korascian Warrens. Not a bad zone, not too difficult to get to -mobs hit hard but went down fast enough. I do not care much for the aesthetic of the zone however if I have to be honest. Group invis helps a lot to get there- or a mage COH - or be ready to fight the random KOS rallosians along the path to the zone in. Some where KOS - some were not. Once in the zone, everything was.

So then I moved the team over to Feerott, the Dream and we were, "enlightened". And by enlightened I mean we had our second team wipe (remember our nice adventure at Valdeholm). The mobs hit like trains - and even my newly upgraded paladin was taking hits up to 4k to the chops. My lone cleric was not keeping up safely, and finally we went down. Once the tank dropped the rest of the crew went down like wet noodles.

We had to make the hard decision to change up one of our DPS'ers for a secondary healer. I did test first however - tinkering with various INI for the cleric and even tried a cleric merc to see if I just had a bad set up on my cleric. But both struggled to solo heal safely even with my paladin regularly throwing heals and the full compliment of stuns. So the new crew is Paladin / cleric / chanter / druid / zerker / rogue. Made the tough call to swap out the beast lord because I already had a druid on that account I could immediately plug-n-play. Druid is set pretty aggressive but with a full compliment of heals - so the DPS did dip somewhat, but the combat has been far more stable. The ability to port in addition to the guild hall portal should also help with moving the team around.

So I am pretty sure that someone running with much more geared toons (or more experience setting up the cleric INI perhaps) may be able to run a single dedicated healer for this content - but my recommendation for team comp going forward will be to have one on tap out of the gate. With the additional heals - the crew should be able to more safely tackle some names and get some more upgrades on the team as well.

If you can get to the point where you can handle Feerott, there is a spot in the very south with undead zombies. Your pally should shine there! As someone who just did the heroic path, I did Feerott->House of Thule->The Grounds->Morell's Castle. I only did Morell's to farm the quiver so I could stop buying dang arrows.
