I decided to make a new set of toon from 0, and to level them without any powerleveling. So here is the way i took, with the macros i used. I hope it will help you.
I'll edit the guide during my leveling with what i used to lvl, the places i choose, the macro i used, what i did buy, etc etc.
I'll add the link to the macro and will add them too in this post.
My set of toon is SHD, CLR, ENC, SHM, RNG, WIZ.
They all are FTP toons and don't have TBM or Eok. (Hoping for TBM to unlock with the new expansion)
.. and don't forgot to click thx on the links i post, the creator will thank you a lot.
SO, here we go.
Lvl 1-2:
Once characters were created, i zoned into the tutorial.
For the tutorial, there is a very good little macro wrote by @LamahHerder.
It's Newtoon.mac.
With this macro, you will complete the tutorial with the main task in it. You'll get the charm, the sow item, and the fellowship clicky.
The only thing missing is the hail to arias once the jailor is dead. You'll have to do it manually.
This macro will end in pok once you'll get the fellowship clicky.
Very usefull one.
Lvl 2-14:
Once the previous step done, just head to Cresent Reach to xp some.
Start near the entrance and use KissAssist, a f**cking awesome macro wrote by Maskoi.
For this part, it'll be simple. Just get temperance on your toons before going to CR.
Put Melee=1 on all your toons, even on the cleric if you want, and let the fun begin.
At this lvl with temperance, there is almost 0 risk of death. And mobs will die pretty fast with 6 toons on them. You will gain levels in few mins, and even some cash loot or armor to ger them.
Once you have some cash loot, go inside CR with your main looter , sell the loot and buy some more bags, you'll need them.
When you are level 5-6 go past the bridge and continue to kill, mobs will be higher, and you'll get more xp.
Set your tank as puller.
You can move around this area for more challenging mobs.
I did this to lvl 14. Why 14??? Because, in my mind, at the start of EQ, it was at this lvl that we started to get some interesting spells.
So go back to pok. and with the 1st billion of cooper you got, go buy the spells for your rocking team.
You can also buy them bag. 10 slots bags of course. More slots > more loot > more cash.
Look at bazaar to for some upgrade, but mainly for tank and healer in a first time.
Once done. Go back to Moors.
Lvl 14-22:
I did these levels near Pok book.
There are plenty of mobs there, and high enough to get some revelant XP again.
You'll get some more gear, armor in the meantime to gear your toons some.
Once around 20-22, you can stop and go back to PoK.
If you have a guild, it's even better go in the guild hall for an important part of the process. The casting Skills
The Casting Skills
You fizzle... you fizzle.. you fizzle.... you are oom... yeah you know what i mean.
So once in the bath on the guild hall, i looked for a nice macro to work on casting skill and found one wrote by @Fluffy
Nice macro to skill up.Select the spell you want to use to skill up and it will chain cast it.
Here is the link to the macro: Leveler.mac
While this one was running, found another one that works a lot better : Cskillup.mac from Maskoi.
With this one you can practice all skills at the same time. And you can practice them in the custom guild halls btw.
Lvl 22-30:
Now that you can cast np. Head back to moors. I found a good spot mentioned on RG Forum. Thx Eqgeek for the infos. The spot is very nice xp until lvl 30
Here is the link to his post. And the picture of it is here
Once lvl 30, go back to pok for your spells and to guildhall to practice skills
.
You won't have a lot of skill to practice normally, but don't forget to practice skills often (especially the ones you don't use a lot.)
At this step you can also start to configure your .ini files for each toon to use them with KA.
You should also start to look for some gear. Check bazaar as often as you can. to get some more hp / mana / ac depending on toon.
Lvl 30-41:
While i was configuring th inis of my toons for their new spells i decided to have a look at RG website and found out a nice quest.... the bone chips quest. Btw thx Razkle for this work.
Unfortunatly, that quest was nerfed back in 2016 and no longer give XP. So it was time to find a new leveling spot for my gang. Watched a bit moors map and found an appealing spot to try (btw, was crossing finger to not wipe). Here is a pic of the spot i found, nice and fast xp and pretty easy. at lvl 35, some mobs are still yellow to me...
Now lvl 38 here and xp is still good. You can even drop some ornate defiant gear too, which isn't bad and will help to gear your toons.
The skeletons repop pretty fast there, so you won't run out of mobs. But you need some decent dps to do it the safe way, but the xp is really worth it.
I stayed there until 41. At 41 everything is light blue so i left camp. Omw back to pok to buy the new spells, and some gear upgrade.
At 41, time to get some flowed defiant gear. Need as much mana as you can on caster to maintain a nice dps.

Lvl 41-55:
Hard choice to make now... should i go to mesa, or to the actual hotzone for 40 or 45?? Will have to test that to see where i'll get the best xp rate.
I tryed draknik, not revelant. i think i need a few more levels. Emerald jungle wasn t good xp even as an hotzone since mobs were too low. so i decided to head to mesa to kil some napaea. Xp seems to be pretty good there.
And some loot too. Will have to see if it 's good cash loot or not.
Time to move back to dranik another Oow low level zone for some xp. The new part here will be to find a camp with enough mobs to have constant xp with almost no down time. Now that i got some lvl, it should be easier. Why coming back to these zone? It's simple. Actually all the people that raid , and even other are working on their trade skills to max their artisan augs. And in these zone, some augs drop that are used for JC and as far as i see, people are really paying a lot for these kind of augs. So some xp/grinding/farming could be more usefull there. If all goes like that i think you can make a nice amount of cash in no time. I have seen some of these augs going for 500k or so on my server. But, be aware, some are very rare.
That will make you a good amount of cash to buy some new stuff or items on your wish list.
The Oow zones are good xp and not frequented. So they are good spots to quietly lvl up.
If i had to count, i would say i m making something like 1k pp per hour.
At 55, all the camps in Dranik should be light blue so not worth it anymore. Time to go back to Pok again and update your spells and gear now you are a little richer.
About that, there is a very nice macro i discovered. It's scribe.mac. Once you have opened the merchant window, just launch it and it will buy all the spells you need at your lvl and will meme them. Thx Sym for the macro, it's awesome and a lot less time consuming.
Lvl 56-65:
From 56 to 58, Plane of innovation is a nice zone and not frequented a lot. Plus, you get some tink loot that sells for cash. Nice amount of pp
You'll get these lvls pretty fast normally. Once 57 or so you can zone to Bastion of Thundern which is a nice xp zone too. You can quietly get some level there. On a plus side, there is some nameds you can kill for loot or for tribute. They have some good tribute price.
The zone isn't frequented so you won't run out of mobs.
Lvl 65-75:
At this level, PoFire C2 is the way to go, you won't run out of mobs. The castle is full of them. You'll get too some nice cash loot and tradeskills loot. Keep the TS ones, you'll have an use for them. Especially the ones for Smithing.
Set up a camp where there are a good amount of mobs and run the macro
You can have a nice cup of tea or coffee in the meantime while looking at your xp bar. The XP rate there is still very good. You'll lvl pretty fast there.
A few hours and you'll be 70.. and a few more and then you'll be 75.
At 75 you'll have 2 choice. Or you continue to XP just with your group... or you PL your toons by joining a 105s group.
I prefer to grind XP just using my little group, it's a lot more fun.
And ..... OH 75, new gear available
the last stage of defiant armor.... Gear Upgrades INC!!!!!!!!!!
Lvl 75-85:
At lvl 75 i decided to come back, to one of my favorite zone... Valdeholm. Don' ask me where in vald, you already know that......the pit.
Decent Experience, and some loot, alone in the zone... time to plant a campfire... and make a BBQ.
Nice cash loot and a lot of spells are dropping. Time to farm some plat again for the spells and gear upgrade. The spells you'll loot are Rk2 ones so just sell them.
In the meantime, i discovered a very nice macro made by Dragonfire: Skilling.mac
With this macro, you can almost skill up everything. It's an awesome one. I am using it a lot.
With everyone working on their tradeskills, it might be usefull to use it on some toons to forage, fish etc TS items and sell them
With the price going on some ts items, you should be able to feel like a billionaire in no time.
For the armor from TSS, if you prefer to use it rather than defiant, you'll have to go to Direwind or sunderock before to farm them and get tier 1 ones. In vald, you ll get the PS to upgrade it to tier 2.
Depending on the classes you play, there is some must have items dropping in that zone like The Guardian's Pouch or Deepbelly for bards.
Casters and priests have a nice quest to do there too: Ancient Tomes that will result in a very nice aug not prestige: Runed Diamond
EXTRA
With your FTP account you can make up to 2 chars per account. Using the same way to make them hit lvl 57. Why 57? because at 57 you can group with a lvl 85 char. So at this stage, you can use your 1st group to PL another toon on each account.
For this i would use Razkle's Guide: PL Guide 59-75 EasyMode Dragonscale Hills.
To set the camp, it's easy. Put your 57 toons in the same fellowship than the others. Bring the big ones (lvl 85) there! Plant campfire and then use it
Lvl 85-105:
For this way, you need to actively play at least one of your toons.... or there is another way i'll talk later...
Many of us did many of them.... yeah you found what i am talking about.... DH HA.
These are pretty decent XP and some loot can drop in it. Unfortunatly u won't be able to use the currencies you get until lvl 100 since the other vendors only sell prestige loot. SO my advice would be to XP to level 92. at this level, you can buy and wear RoF T1 gear which isn 't prestige. You'll get a nice bonus hp ac to grind in DH even faster. Once you 'll reach lvl 100 you could spend your currencies on gear. and even do other HAs to get more items from there.
More coming soon!!!! Stay Tuned
PS: Sorry for my english.
PS2: It 's hard to resist to the PL temptation
I'll edit the guide during my leveling with what i used to lvl, the places i choose, the macro i used, what i did buy, etc etc.
