I was in 69.1 mission the otherday and LD'd and decided to just go to bed since it was almost 5 Am. So that night I go to log in and it says my Chars are in "Oasis" not "Oasis of Marr" so I try to complete update...nothin just crash and it says Oasis zone file is not available in my install.....now im getting pissed. So I search my folders for "oasis" and it returned a few maps and oasis_2_blahblah.blah so I delete it and do another file check...nothing...Now I'm reeady to throw both comps out the window. I log one char in on an acct thats stuck there, ran his ass to where Oasis used to be and thought ok south ro, north ro....WTF do I do now. I renamed northro.*** (am at work dont remember extensions of the top of my head) to oasis and logged in to a zone with no texture at all had Cazel wandering around me.All were human models that were continually falling. This is where I gated back to pok. Worked to get both chars out. Yes I could have used the Return Home button IF I had known that was gonna happen.

yea shitty coding by SoE. Same type thing happened with Veeshan's Peak. You used /zone veeshan and it would zone you into the non revamped version of VP... kinda cool... but then again... not really all that useful.

Before I started using /gate I would remove myself from 69.1 then camp out in the instanced. The next day I would log on and find myself usually in lesser fay. lol. Or camp out in a MM and you will be in some random zone. I did fairy (a long time ago) and had to leave early. I removed myself from the quest so they could invite a 6th and camped out. When I logged back in that day about 2 hrs later I was in everfrost. I think it uses the LDON exit points for reference. /shrug

Yes this bug has been there for many years, they still didn't fix it
If you camp out in an instance and let it expire you will appear at your last ldon spot.

Since they changed oasis anyone who is trying to 'appear' there is screwed, probably have to petition (if your return home is off) to get yourself moved.

Then go do a LDoN that is not horribly out of th way or in a dead zone.

As I said got myself out by renaming northro.*** to oasis.*** but better be able to gate somehow once you do get in hehe. I did get booted last night and it wanted to download northro so just quit the patcher and renamed it back to northro.

Kinda makes you wonder what would have happened if you picked another zone file to rename as oasis.xxx
