I always wonder on AA's which is best to work on first, Class, Focus or Archtype or is dependent on the class being played. I am working a druid up ( %@@# ) too many aa's needed and was like WTF, which do I work on. But then figured lets ask the experts or those who think they are. I know I am not. I always work my defensive ones on my tanks first, then worry about the rest.

i mostly let aaspend do it with a 53214 order

having said that - pneumonic retention is high on the list - and then synergy class procs - and for a couple of classes some of the oddballs - like regen related (death bloom / death magic etc) or other "substantial" things - which is why with autospend i use a large bank (like 200) so i can intervene and manually spend on a big ticket thing

Run speed right off the bat. Then I just go with the rest of the ones that are passive and then go to class then the others.

Once I get the basics done, I tend to get the passive abilites, figuring that way I get the benefit from them all the time. Thats if I am manually spending them.

I would say get the ones most important to what you use them for.
If you're a healer then get the ones that benefit healing.
If you're damage, get the ones that help damage.
etc.
Eventually you'll get it to a point where you don't care what you get.

I unlock big ticket actives first, even at low ranks, as they tend to be a power or feature jump.

Adding an extra heal when your cleric has two is huge. Unlocking paragon on a BST is a big deal.

At higher level, all that is already done, and I use autospend almost exactly as Sic says, except I think we don't have to worry as much about spell foci if they apply to more spells in a line though? (As in, before, using a new spell without the focus could be a loss compared to using the old focused spell).

The biggest thing I do is go 100% aa after autogrant ends on my dudes as well; it doesn't feel so overwhelming.

I tend to micro manage a bit more until I get the main ones out of the way, then switch to aaspend.

I typically will do synergies first since most help more than just that toon. Then any class defining ones…. Then I’ll work on the passive AA’s so that I get the benefit all the time vs just the thing I’m doing…Then it’s split between the focus and the rest. It’s helpful now that the first few hundred/thousand in focuses still help…

Activatable AAs (unless they suck/have no impact on DPS) -> Synergy -> highest impact DPS things (twincast -> crit chance -> crit damage) -> Focus -> Class -> Archetype -> General -> Special.

Druids are a DPS class in my setups though. If you use it for healing then focus on the exceptional healing stuff as well before passively buying AAs.

Depends on which toon I am working on.

With the mage it goes: utility clicks (because they are a low investment and immediately improve QoL), then all nuke related AAs, then everything into the pet AA blackhole.
Beastlord is basically the same but also needs healing and melee AAs, so: utility AAs, melee AAs, pet AAs, then healing AAs
I am a noob with the bard and really only use it to buff the beastlord and mage, so I don't have a developed opinion on them yet.
