Question - Fine and Excellent Silk (5 Viewers)

Anybody know a good spot to farm Fine and Excellent Silk? I'm getting frustrated as when I go to EQtrader and search for those silks and it lists what zone and mobs to kill and when I do kill them, nothing. Thanks in advance.

Try these two notes from *Some Dude*

Fine Silk - zones like Acrylia Caverns, Velketor's Labyrinth, Crypt of Decay, Veksar and Siren's Grotto.

Excellent Silk - zones like Halls of Honor, Plane of Fire, Dulak's Harbor and Veksar.

Those Almar links go to Zam anyway. You can look them up by going to https://everquest.allakhazam.com/

Go to database - items - search. But the problem being is there are many many zones where silks drop.


If op is level 85 he could be using Overseer to get silks.

Set up a buyer, check baz and try to get some cheap ones.

There is no silver bullet. Just find a zone with the correct mob levels to drop the silks, and then kill humanoid creatures in the zone. Unless the mobs are humanoid or spiders, I don't think they drop silks or pelts. I checked in my tradeskill houses, and I have one stack of fine and two stacks of excellent. That's after years of levelling multiple groups. All other types of silks I have many, many stacks ....

As Red said, Overseer might be your best bet if you don't need a lot or have a lot days to collect them.

i feel like i got a ton of exellents out of barindu and vxed

tbh, best results for farming tradeskill mats is to find zones youd like to farm a few items in, and just set up pocket farmer type toons. all these global random drops will start to pile up. I did a bunch just getting the mats required to max my AP.

Other zones you can try would be LDoNs, dranik catacombs/sewers, Yxxta, the hive.

For fine silk, maybe give griegs end, sanctus seru and nadox a go.

Holy bad blood, Batman! My impression of you is a no non-sense, but fair-minded and tolerant of disagreement as long as there's no drama, so for you to describe this guy as "hate-filled" is surprising. I don't want to know the details, but the vitriol meter must have been pegged.
