Disagree with this, I kill it with 2 adds up. Think it locks at 3 adds.After, Cactiikii spawns, Kill it. It will spawn adds throughout the fight, you will need to kill them if there are more than 1 up at a time. Otherwise Cactiikii becomes invulnerable until they are killed. A big burn can kill it before it spawns more than 1.
Out of curiosity, does the Mark of Whatever spell work on named? To stop his crappy DS?
All casters, even clerics /melee on.
Dont leave dps on the table. They wont melee while casting so no worries!
TBL wasn't bad at all. Smoke trials are a shitshow but beyond that the rest is easy as long as you're geared for it. If you're like me and recently returning, wearing conflag, you're going to have to farm the early stuff, use discs, wait for discs to refresh, farm gmm for non vis. But once you are in current gear its fairly simple.
I liked velious, but it appears from what they have so far, we're only getting half of it.
It is very boxer unfriendly. All the bouncing around is what did me in. EoE is the only mission in the last 3 expansions that I wasn't able to 6box in-era, not counting Talendor because it's a 12 person event. I only got the flag because a guild group was nice enough to run me through with me playing 1 character. They all dropped task at the end and let me add the rest of my boxes so I could loot the teeth.My tank has Tbl T3 in all visables and several non visables, any that had higher AC than GMM. My rogue and Zerker are in all tbl t3 visables and gmm non vis. bard, cleric, and chanter are in tbl t2 visables except for chest which are all t3, and gmm non vis.
I really don't think I can be better geared other than raid.

Goro sucked when RoS came out, that Lost Chocodai quest had a few people tearing their hair out with all the bugs. Became a running joke about what changed since the last time we did it.RoS is well done, but wasn't tuned properly other than Goro
I know the fleet earring has better AC other than that which pieces ?any that had higher AC than GMM

Do you have essence of dragon 1 on all your toons?
I found that levitate helps with the meteor bounce so your group doesn't get too spread out.
Knighly's write-up is very good. Links to all RoS instance/event tips.
A couple extra things I did:
I added mq2heals based on Sum1 mentioning it helped. I'd set it to pause/un-pause at the start of the event. I just ran it along with my cleric's KA ini and didn't swap spells for it.
I ran my tank in "/mqp" paused mode and spammed my /switchnow hotkey. I think KA11 handles group target changes a lot better now though. I'd un-pause the tank once the dogs were down, so it wouldn't leave them up when the named went live.
Hotkeys - I made a whole new bar of hotkeys just for this event:
Move to Start: I had everybody start or regroup at this loc, seemed a little safer from getting bounced into the "death" area:
Burns - Since its very easy to get out of balance on the waves, I wound up making five mini-burn hotkeys. These would each tell the SK/bard/bst/zerks to pop various offense boosts. I tried to group things that had roughly the same timer, then I'd watch the results to get an idea of how much faster each button made the group kill the current target. Some buttons became "kill now" types and others were "speed it up a bit." They'd do stuff like pop discs/aa, click their BP, or use a big dmg attack immediately if available. SK's also have some burst kill via harmtouch, thought leech, leech touch and reflexive revul, so that let me drop a target quick if I see another wave going live early.
I also had to watch some bursty stuff in KA ini's or IHC. Same if you're using mq2zerk/rogue (wasn't around when I was doing these.) I wound up not removing or making big changes, but if you have those set to use [AE] or zerk/IHC to watch nearby mob count for Burn, they can get into big damage discs before you're ready. Zerk's Dicho/Diss attack is also a big spike, so I had to watch for that to drop a mob and adjust. You might want to make stuff like that manual control.
I'm not logged in atm. IIrc, mask, shoulders, cloak, charm. I'm not sure on the mask, it may have had comparable ac, but I wanted it for the hate mod since I had no luck with the one in Gmm. You lose 100 hp and gain 70ish ac per piece.
Page5Button1Line1=/noparse /squelch /bcga //target id ${Target.ID}
Page5Button1Line2=/noparse /squelch /bcga //switchnow
/noparse /bcg //if (!${Select[${Me.Class.ShortName},CLR,SHM]}) /switchnow
Yeah besides healing, make sure you back your group up pretty often with the move hotkey and let the NPCs take the brunt of the new waves. The "dt" could either be the named arriving or could be stepping outside the safe area. Or chasing a mob that's near it. My cleric didn't move much so I'd use him as a reference for how far from the platform I could move.
I wound up doing target switches via "tell" instead of group/all. Series of /bct lines to the DPS, so the healer doesn't assist. I think I skipped the bard since he was lowest direct DPS.
You can also turn Mez off in KA on the ench, if that is making them move around.
I tended to ignore the viral, either I avoided it or wiped, just focused on hard burning them and hoped it was quick enough.
Not even 100hp 70ac if eqresource is correct.
face 4ac and a full 9hp drops frequently in the "ironing out the legion" mission
Back 3ac 54hp
Charm 3ac 40hp
Don't see the gmm shoulders listed on eqresourse.
If you have other goals do them first these differences do not matter.
+1 on disabling dps/melee on your healers for this event, you need every bit of heals you can get. did it with kissassist myself and without the blocker but it was a close run. Everyone was drained at the end sk had to use thoughleach to survive. cleric and shammy had to use aa heals. Currently doing progression for this boxset (evolving item mainly) then will be going back and see the difference.
Do not think that viral is curable but then I am too busy to notice if cleric/shaman cures it.
The DT sounds like you are too close to the edge, one misstep and you are dead.
I just have the switchnow in my assist button, look at sic's hotkeys how to check if class is not of a certain type then you can still use /bcg

You should be breezing through this one. In addition to @eqtrader74 's BurnAllNamed=2 suggestion, I'd look to optimize your .ini files for the wiz and mage. Make sure that AAs and things that can be used in between spell casts (ie during GCD phases) have the |weave tag and a priority lower than your main nuke spells.You would think a T3 TBL War/Clr/Enc/Wiz/Wiz/Mag could breeze through this easily right?
