Hey guys,

I am starting a 2nd 6 box group for fun. I am currently leveling them in Dragonscale Hills with a 85 monk (Thanks Raz for the 59-75 guide). I am curious what you guys do for gear? Should I level them until 85 and gear them in rustic or wait until 105 to put them in castaway? Any tips on gearing the tank (warrior) would be appreciated. This group is going to be War/Clr/Enc/Mag/Wiz/Wiz.

The easiest and best thing is to buy a powerlevel to 105 from someone (yes, I offer this, yes I am soliciting somewhat) and level yourself to 100 in The Grounds (can take about a week afk) then gear them in TDS T1 from the bazaar, then you're good to go. If not, you're going to struggle with 85-100 and wasting a lot of time and plat gearing them in level 80 armor.

You can buy a powerlevel from 85-105 for 40$ from really anyone that offers it (there's several) this will save you a lot of time. I would suggest a 105 Magician if you're going that route or a 105 Shadowknight as they can easily solo Grounds and the Mage can solo named in higher expansions by itself.

If not, get them to 85, gear them in rustic then level to 92 and gear them in Rain of Fear then 100 and TDS T1.

I just did a group without external assistance shd/brd/enc/wiz/mag/clr tried to go F2p and bought gear in bazaar like level 50 65 75, I found at 75 my group was not able to kill dark blues/whites etc... so i had to go gold... I probably only needed to gold the tank+puller but I did all of them and max'd aa at 105.

A level 105 with 200aa kinda useless.

Generally it seems people level via PL then go gold for a month (pay/krono) to max AA at 105 then wear non-prestige, often they keep the tank gold and just leave the others F2p with max AA.
Other strategy is to max level on FV get gear then move to Test server where you get Gold+TBM which is what I am thinking about for the 2nd group I am going to level. This way it is cheaper.

FYI there are people that offer copys from FV to test, with a ton of raid / quested gear. Literally your entire bank full of gear. Just go on test and ask in general, there is 1 or 2 people that do it (they work together) with the gear packs. You can then level yourself, and have all the gear you could / would ever need.

Test is wonderful for running full kiss groups, as the population is small, I I just kind of got burned out on the lack of grouping. Kind of why ive been messing around on Phiny the past week.

The guy that used to do that that was the best at it, Sseventya, no longer offers that service. He had an incident with the server crashing and lost his stuff, had to petition to get it back and so now he doesn't offer it anymore due to the risk. Last I heard he'd auctioned off all his stuff.

Wow that blows, and yeah thats the name I remember. Well, that USED to be a good way to really get the ball rolling on TEST.

I am very interested in this.

I would like to build a list of the best, easiest, F2P gear ideas for EQ Live.

If you're clever with how you do eqresource searches, the advanced item search function lets you find the best non-prestige gear in slots fairly easily. Any "best slot" list on relatively current gear, though, will be marred with personal preference. For example, someone gearing a wiz might prioritize mana and then +spell damage, while another would prioritize mana and heroic int. Those kinds of things would need to be taken into account. It becomes more difficult when you're talking about a SK and the intense discussion about AC, heroic agility, heroic dexterity, when to shift to heroic stamina, etc.

That's not what I am going for. I want his easy peasy not camp mobs for 3 months to gear a toon.
Whats the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to gear a F2P 105 level toon?
I not to worried about min/max on classes just a complete gear set so the toon can function.
