Needed, Level 76
7 Spare AA's

Buy Storm Strike AA, level 1.

Make a hot key and assign it to a key.

Make a macro spamming said key.

Target a mate who is power-levelling a bunch of your alts (or a pet or whatever).

You will get a "Your ability failed. Timer has been reset".

But you still get skill-ups.

Many thanks to our very own Dutch_SK for this little tidbit!

All thanks should go to him!

Nice

Maybe we can find some other AA abilities which reset, but still give skill ups.

Yeah it does, but it doesn't reset like Storm Strike and has a cooldown, so it won't be really quick I am afraid =(

For Shaman, if you get Flight of Eagles buff, you can spam your AA invis for Divination points. Same thing as the druid 'ability failed'.

Should that work with all classes that have AA invis?

Weird that Flight of Eagles makes invis AA fail btw =)

Found a new trick that will at least skill up your evoc and with a bit of luck also your alteration, I was already max alteration so have to check that with another character soon.

All you need is a lvl 89+ cleric and the 'Shining Rampart' spell line.

Buff it on your PL'ed character and let him create a train in a lowbie zone, as long as your buff isn't wearing off you are impossible to kill.

The more mobs the quicker you skill up evocation/alteration (not sure yet).

This is propably the quickest legit way to skill up evocation =)

I don't know if it would work for all classes. I don't even know why it works for the Shaman in the first place. I'd have to do some digging around on the spell parse. And to be completely honest, it could have been another spell or something blocking. The reason I found it was because I was in a panic while my group was wiping and I was trying to run the Shaman away and I kept spam clicking Silent Presence and kept getting the fail and I got a Divination up. Then after the chaos I kept trying to figure out wtf and I clicked off FoE and then I was able to invis.

Also as for like say SK, I'm 100% sure that Cloak of Shadows AA works just fine with FoE, so again, just a strange thing.

I remembered this was posted back a year or 2 ago here, but it is worth mentioning again :

http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php/24531-Max-conjuration-in-minutes

If you have the veteran AA for Summon Resupply Agent, you can have a pet up (or clicky familiar) and spam the hotkey for the SRA and it up's Conjuration. Costly for an alt to get veteran rewards for just that, and for something like 9th year vet reward (?). But if you got it, you can use it. :)

bit of an update to this, it wasn't FoE that wasn't stacking. It was the fact that the Shaman had maximum buffs and couldn't take another buff, thus the ability failed but it still gave the skill-up. So technically this should work with any class that has any type of AA self-buff. Just get max buffs then mass click the button.
