So for this there are several ways to do the first levels but I will simply be showing the fastest way that I have used. The cleric needed can either be botted or paid off. I have (prior to me having a bot) found it is easy to talk a cleric into spending a couple hours doin very little for a few thousand pp.

First you need a cleric that is at least level 65 and has the spell Mark of the Riteous or has These Pants. Do not group the cleric and the baby.

Pauladial Caverns
After that take your brand new level one toon and give him Temperence now enter Pauladial Caverns through the Hollowshade Moor entrance. For those that don't know Pok ->Shadeweavers Thicket ->Shar Vahl ->Hollowshade Moor ->Pauladial Caverns. Once here the bugs should not be kos, head strait down the tunnel till you get to the first lake with the Fungal Fiends.

Now have the cleric pull fiends to the level 1 baby with Mark of the Riteous and root them next to the Temperanced PL toon. With Mark on the mob it is a reverse damage shield that counts as damage from the toon it is beating on so even though your skills suck you still get the credit for the kill.

Use Heal over time spells like Celestial Healing I tend to have this spell going non-stop on my pl'd toons and this will prevent cleric getting agro, also do not bother curing the spreading crud the fiends cast as it will not be much of a bother with temperance.

Once one is agro'd on the baby cleric should be able to pull another fiend and as long as they path through the baby en route to the cleric they will stop and beat on the baby instead. If your new toon is a caster i don't reccomend more than two mobs at a time beating on the baby, for melee you can normally do three or four at a time.

Have a quick heal loaded on cleric just in case things start to go south. If mobs beating on baby are more than 60% when you use a quick heal cleric will prolly get agro so just root them and move baby to them when healed.

Kill the Fiends till level 12 or so (whenever they start turning dark blue) then head north and find shik'nar. Redo the exact same process on these guys. Cleric pulls with Mark, roots if needed, baby kills and gets xp.

Normally I leave PC when i hit level 19 or 20 but you can easily stay here till you get to 26 or so. The earlier you leave the harder it will be when you first get to the next zone as those mobs hit much much harder. Average time for me is 5 to 7 hours total in zone from 1 - 25.

Scarlet Dessert

When the shiknar start slowing down on xp it is time to go to Scarlet Dessert.

Here you want to be near the Twilight Sea zone line. There are a Ton of blue alien lookin guys, these are your primary targets.
Again do the same thing only here the thing to note is that the "Shaman" mobs tend to cast so much that they take forever to kill. So try to stick to the melee mobs.

Lightcrawlers, Cheetahs, and sunflowers also make good targets. I generally stay in this zone till about level 46. Mostly i break it off here cause at 46 you can group with a level 70 and kill green mobs to the 70 and the baby gets all the xp.

Though a buddy of mine stayed there till 52. Average time for me is two days at 5 to 7 hours each from level 25 - 48.

Chardok B

Now here the strategy changes. Group the cleric and your baby together. Keep the baby at the zone in, there is a small antechamber where he can sit safely.

So next the cleric needs to have Ward of Retribution (69 DON spell) This creates a massive self damage shield on the cleric that will totaly destroy anything in this zone.

Now the cleric just runs around and agros about 5-10 mobs depending on what the cleric can withstand, then he corners himself and just keeps himself alive. Your baby will be soakin up the xp. Average time in this zone is 3 days, 5 - 7 hours per day to get levels 48 - 58

Now the reason for these zone choices is that as yet these are still the hotspots. PC will forever be the first zone to hit as long as it has the zem it does. The next two zones can be whereever the hotspot is, just find a nice place you can easily pull lots of melee mobs.

I have done this on several toons and it has worked flawlessly every time. I don't buy armor or spells of any kind, nor do i do the tutorial (although sometimes i do the tutorial just long enough to get the charm so about ten minutes for a decient charm) until level 30 or so.

Also you will be plesantly surprised at the ammount of skills banked at the trainer. Lastly if you are pl'ing a melee class you can work on skills as you go if you want otherwise you hae to catch them up later. Same with casters, you can skill up while you do it or be forced to catch it up later.

If this merrits free access i would like continued access to the eq1 area please.
