Started using MQ2 a few weeks ago. Everything was working fine until today when I got MQ2Eskay and MQ2BerZerker. As soon as I loaded the sk one all 5 of my EQ instances crashed. After that everytime I try an use load all in MQ2.exe they get to log in then crash. I can load up each with the regular game launcher just fine but if I start the Redguides launcher afterward they'll crash.

Forgot to mention that I removed the eskay and berzerker dll's and it still happens.

I'll occasionally have one crash at launch, but usually if I try again it loads up ok. Awhile back I was having frequent crashes and it turned out to be my SSD was near the end of it's life - it ended up conking out and not even showing at boot soon after.

Try renaming your character specific UI files. Perhaps they got corrupted somehow?

send me some crash dumps to my PM's (not here as it may contain character information) and I'll see if I can find out what is causing the crashes. The dumps are located in the MQ2 release folder in the "Logs" sub folder. Looking forward to your PM.

issue was resolve by changing the MacroQuest2 directory in the settings tab. Was a weird looking folder name that likely caused problems with CWTNBuffs as the error was an invalid parameter on formatted text. This can happen when something that is normally an escape character, or a % symbol is used in the text, causing it to expect a parameter when none was passed.
