Question - EoK Rare Drops

I spent some time in EoK, and after a 1.5 weeks, I was able to loot 2 rare drops.

Since then, it has been about 2 more weeks of 10+ hours a day, and I haven't seen any more rare drops.

Is this pattern normal in the farming rare loot game?

Trying to get a feel for what everyone else is seeing out there.

to to give my perspective on it, my first rare dropped after killing 500ish mobs in EoK, the next droped after 3424 mobs killed (started to track them after the first drop more acurately) the next after that dropped after a further 1682 kills then the next after 372 kills, it's totally random LOL

At expansion release I was seeing about one rare every couple of days (farming 12+ hours a day). There was also a LOT of general chat spam with people trying to offload gear, trade for other gear, etc.

Now? I'm happy if I see a rare every 4-5 days. Most of the time its a week or longer. I've gone for two weeks with two groups farming 24/7 and not seen one. It's completely random, but since the initial month or two of the expansion I think DBG turned down the drop rate. Maybe they thought there were too many flowing into the game - I don't really know. I do know the drop rate is markedly different now than it was at expansion release though.

I'v had two in less than 100 kills, and non in 5000+(and counting..
