Those of you that have experience with Bards VS Enchanters with caster groups...I need your input. If having to choose between a Bard and an Enchanter solely for the purpose of increasing damage output from a Mage or Wizard, which one would have the highest modifiers for that situation?

Overall Bard wins. Ench will win for big burst but reality is in a group Bard can keep up crit modifiers with epic/fierece non stop. I have both adding my brd to a 3 mage group dramatically increases dps when I drop ench.

Most of time i use bard in melee group and enc in caster group. Dunno if it's the best choice, but at least it works well for me.
This is what I do as well. I think the bard would be better in both groups, but the enchanter is closer in the caster groups..the enhanced CC is also helpful as caster die faster than then melee if they get agro.

I run an Ench in my group with a Mage and BST, all using ctwn plugins. There is great synergy between them for damage modifiers and pets. When the Ench charms, mage equips that pet with weapons in the blink of an eye and we are off to the races. Chromatic Haze mentioned above will parse my mage at or close to top of the damage list, fighting a zerk 4 levels higher. There are great bard ini's out there, but I prefer the ench due to ease of use.
