Okay, I left the title especially vague after the last incident with charm-trading just in case. Yeah I'm paranoid now but I didn't join these forums to keep secrets so I'm still posting. However, if I find this on the official forums in a week I'm not posting any type of bug/exploit again in the future. That said, enjoy but please use with care.

For starters, this is completely unrelated to the Chromatic Haze proccing bug - you can see my previous thread on that or ask someone as it's rather wide known at this point. On to the fun...

What it is: Ability to to instantly re-use any Enchanter AA with a cast time (notable AA: Mana Draw, Silent Casting, Focus of Arcanum, and I'm sure there are others you may find useful)

What you need: a) Echoing Madness (Lv 68 viral mez), b) Eye of X (Holgresh Beads, Clockwork Automaton, etc.), c) Unmezzable hostile mob, d) the ability to count (I recommend this UI add-on: http://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=5678)

Why it works: No fucking clue

How it works: Well, I will admit this is certainly an interesting "bug". It is *not* super easy or simple to pull off but the advantages of successfully executing it are great. Here is the simple breakdown of how this works-
1) Summon your eye of X temporary pet, move it onto a unmezzable target (any mob >Lv 73, giants, etc.)
2) Target your Eye, cast Echoing Madness. Wait and make sure you see a spell pulse - ie. the spell trying to ping pong itself on the unmezzable mob(s). This is easily determined by the message "Your target cannot be mesmerized. Your target resisted the Echoing Madness spell." Basically your eye gets mezzed and keeps trying to mez the unmezzable mob.
3) Now that you have confirmation it's ping ponging between the mob and eye, you're going to need to use some timing skills. The spell pulse follows server tics, so every 6 seconds it will ping pong. IF you cast an AA with a casting time and the spell pulses WHILE you are casting it, the AA will fire but will instantly refresh.

When it will NOT work: You only have one mob. You have more than one mob but they are all unmezzable. You have an Eye but do not have an unmezzable mob in range of Echo pulses. This method only works if you have pulses of the viral mez. If everything is mezzed, or there is only one mob, you have nothing to 'infect' and this will not work.

Here is an example to get you familiarized with how to execute this and practice

-Go to the GH or wherever you have a combat dummy >Lv 73.
-Summon your Eye and target it. Move it next to the dummy.
-Cast Echoing Madness on the Eye. Wait to see the spell pulse.
-Wait until the next pulse and then count to 3 out loud (if you do it in your head you're going to be too fast :P)
-Start casting Blanket of Forgetfulness AA (4 second cast time, 10 second recast)
-You should finish casting BOF immediately following the next pulse of Echoing Madness. It doesn't even have to be immediately after - you just must be casting before it pulses and it ends after.
-Check your reuse timer (you should have none if done successfully)

I recommend repeating this several times until you get a grasp on it. Then, move on to the bread and butter with practicing with Mana Draw, etc.

Personally, I do not know if you can/have not been able to get it to work on AA abilities with an instant cast time. I think it would be near impossible to sync with the server pulse given lag but perhaps you are a robot with 0 ms ping.

Obviously this is not as useful as Haze proccing (IMO) but being able to constantly Mana Draw or Focus Arcanum, etc. is still a pretty big deal. The downside is that Echoing Madness has a 2 minute recast so you need a spell gem for it.

I hope some of you will find this useful.

It works because of the pulse being cast in between from your viral spell. The game thinks you are casting the viral spell so it resets the timer.. but because you aren't casting it, your AA goes off. So any class that has a spell that 'pulses' can use this same technique using an eye to use their different timer AAs without consuming them.

This works with Lesson, Staunch, and any other Vet AA too btw... so there's that. I think the Lesson thing over anything would make it way OP for anyone leveling a new Ench =)

Hmm... is there a holy/mac or something to make this easier!? Maybe run through lessons every time it's down?

Hmm... I'm working on a few projects right now but I could look into it in the future if no one already has it done! Although my MQ2 knowledge is likely lacking to pull it off. :p

This same method works with Cleric viral Mark btw. I couldn't get it to work with Shaman viral Slow though.

Explain the steps with a cleric viral and I'll see if I can throw together something to automate it. :)

set and event for it... when event happens /call cast LoTD ... or whatever you're trying to cast without getting a timer on.

How did you get it to work with cleric viral? The seemed like you probably need at least three mobs for it to work.

^With an Eye of Zomm and a Combat Dummy. The dummy would resist it most of the time so it would keep pulsing. However, it has been much harder for me to reproduce this on a Cleric compared to an Enchanter. I've only been able to get it to reset on the first or second pulse and for every time I've gotten it to work, there have been 2 times I haven't [likely just bad timing on my part]. I'm still trying to narrow down exactly what the trick is for the Cleric version as it seems more in depth.

Works with the necro too... I can cast Call Skeletal swarm pets... then immediately hit Army of the Dead and the last of the 3 little swarm pets comes out in the form of a nearby corpse... and Army of the Dead resets.
It's not quite as awesome as the enchanter that strolled by my necro/wiz/pally/2dps merc group and totally KS'd me... but we can't all have 2 million point runes AND million point group nukes or shit would get all out of balance!

Open your inventory... that icon in the center... the one that moves every 6 seconds... moves every 6 seconds for a reason. Very handy for a lot of things.

Now that they nerfed the mind crystals, I think I need to figure out how to get it to work with Mana Draw!

I noticed that sometimes army of the dead would reset instantly, didn't figure out way though. So it is because of this bug i guess. I still don't fully understand why it resets though.
What about the swarm pet makes the AA reset?
