Question - Echo of Hate Achievements

A couple of questions on achievements, if anyone knows for sure:

1. What it Wants - the description says "Trigger the Dark Flagellant first and allow it to ascend" (which is vague as hell). Does this mean you have to heal him to full health? Something else? What does "trigger" mean? Anything?

2. Give in to Greed - do 3 separate toons need to give 100 plat to the greedling or can one toon just give 300? Think I'm going to need to write a LEM for this one. I've just killed them so far.

When echo gets to 80 do the dark flagellent first.

When greedling says holding hands out stop attacking and hands him 100pp each time he holds his hand out (3 times), I used my maintank for this and had no issues.

Win.

is it always 3 times? and is there only 1 greedling? or do the other things like ragelings count too?

Do you maybe have to heal the flagellant to 100% before killing the mob in that room?

U do not heal flagulent at all, Let it kill himself. get cheeve, be inside the room ect. greedy dude hand him 100 pp x3 do not kill it.

This explanation is from someone else who has run the mission, and I have not yet personally run the mission:
For the What it Wants achievement, do the north crystal first, then just sit there in the room and wait for the mob to 'ascend'. I have no idea what it means, but we will see how it works once I get a chance to try and run the mission

For this all you have to do is go to the north room, to start that mob….after you click there, you can click back right away, you don’t even have to stay in that room.
I recommend keeping the mob targeted if you click back so you can watch his health go down.

I wonder how letting him die changes the rest of the encounter… weird mechanic.

From what I gather, I don't want to engage the Greedling at all. Just wait until he asks for money (x3) and pay him. I still need to do that.

Edit: All achievements completed now. Thanks for the input. I just targeted myself when the greedling came out, paused one of my toons who paid him 3 times until he went away and continued the mission. Very easy.

yeah, I just put all my guys on manual while he's up so they don't go ham on him and kill him when I target him to give the plat. You can still dps him some on tank to keep aggro, just don't kill him before you get the 3 emotes to give plat.

Does anyone know how to get the achievement 'Unfocused'? I saw eqresource updated with a comment about clicking crystals during a certain part of the fight but I don't understand when this occurs. The final boss doesn't have crystals in his room and doesn't emote these things: https://sor.eqresource.com/echoofhate.php I haven't noticed the emotes during the first phase.

Just for reference anyone else coming to this thread the other 2 achievements can be gained by:

What it Wants - use the north crystal first, let the flaggelent kill himself, don't even need to engage, just wait the 10 minutes it takes for him to kill himself.

Give in to Greed - give the greedling 100pp when it emotes three times. It will despawn after 3rd gift.

I don't do anything special for this, I believe it's a DPS related achievement, meaning to kill boss down quickly even when adds present.

I rested before before doing the 4th crystal room (e.g. after getting echo to 20%) so all my cooldowns were up. Burned the final boss and got the achievement so maybe you are right? Not sure if there is some mechanic burning is just avoiding or if it is a dps check? /shrug thanks!

We have dps'd him down and waited until he locked and got the third greed message, and handed him the plat then clicked the next crystal

2 pp from 3 different toons in 1 cycle will despawn him , just a heads up.

i feed 3pp each event, works fine
here i'm /rootme on to 2 toons at the boss coz they didn't share the same illusion, and i didn't want them to bring train to the Dark Stranger kill
