Anyone have a quick break down on the parser? I get red message saying the dps of my other toons I don't know what is bad or good in reading output. On the toons themselves I see yellow message stating 168 pet 141, you+pet 6 (or something along those lines). Team using the parser is a 25 necro and 25 mage. What numbers in group mobs should I see?
Still learning so what should be the exp per kill i'm looking for and the time it takes to kill a mob while using MQ2? I know I have done way better leveling these new toons than by just Alt Tabbing boxing. I have 3 toons using a merc healer so group is only 4. Should I fill the group with Merc's?

So the yellow message is KissAssist reporting DPS for each toon on it's own screen. The red messages are broadcasts from any KA toon that has Dannet or EQBC turned on in their ini [General] section. The red are just relays of the same info, so you don't have to tab between screens to read it. If you want a more detailed DPS meter, you can try the plugin MQ2DPSAdv or use a standard logparser meter. MQ2KillTracker is also nice for comparing how many mobs per hour you're killing at various camps.

The community heavily leans towards max level toons in 6-man groups, so we could give you an idea of what's good 110-115 group exp per kill or what's a good kill rate per hour. But at level 25 with three toons + 1 merc, I'm not exactly sure what's good. We do have lots of players leveling up from scratch, but not a lot of discussion on exp rates or such at the level.

Assuming you're on a Live server, you can grab the tank merc and he will pretty much slaughter everything by himself up to about level 65-70. Then the healer merc starts to shine and you need a tank or pettank to continue. Defiant gear is basicly raid gear and you can grab that until around the same level, then you need to farm/buy better stuff. Adding more mercs for DPS can help, but with KA you can add free-to-play toons that will do much more DPS/healing than the mercs at level 70+.

Some good general advice is try to find a camp where the pull length is short, the respawn is much faster than you can kill and mobs can never overwhelm your group. Once you're running CC, you actually do well in camps where your KA puller tends to bring 2-5 mobs a pull, because pull time itself becomes one of the limiting factors.

Optimizing your ini files also helps. If you're just grind leveling, you may want to move all "burn" type stuff into the main DPS area. No point in saving it for Named mobs or emergencies, just use it as available to speed up your kill rate.

Yes the community does tend to lean towards 6 character groups running the macros.
The choice is yours to fill the group with Mercenaries, keep in mind they will lower the exp per kill for the rest of the characters in the group and charge you from your in game finances.
And, while opening another account for 4th, 5th, and 6th characters is financially free (doesn't cost any $USD) to open another account using the same or different e-mail address . . . Keeping those characters funded through the various levels for buying spells, abilities, supplies will also cost you some in game finances.
But let's face it . . . a Toothbrush wielding a spoon running a macro would probably be better than any window licking mercenary.
