Question - Do you guys use chase with macro paused for moving?

I asked this in a roundabout way the other day, but do you guys running 3 ore more toons and needing to move through multiple zones use kiss chase feature or game's auto-follow?

I do not pause KA while using the chase function thinking if something broke the follow it wouldn't recover on its own. If I don't want my peeps doing stuff while in chase mode I use /backoff, and that only if I have someone started as Puller. Otherwise I start everyone as Assist, and one as Tank, so the grp fight if we get ganked while traveling.

I have used /afollow (I don't use EQ's follow) with macro paused, and it works well, but I have to remember to do a /bcga //afol off and /bcga //mpause off, which hopefully is hotkeyed, if the grp gets ganked.

If I am dungeon crawling, I use moveutils moveto cmd (with makecamp off and/or camphere off, depending on what mac I am running) to put the grp at certain locs.

There is a thread that resulted in some good suggestions and hotkey ideas.

Went I travel a lot of zones I tend to turn my KA off and use /stick and use my bards selo song to travel fast and invis.

However, I have been debating on using the chase function, because I have been getting attacked while invis... since the new hot zones are in UF zones which have tons of see invis mobs.

I have all my ini's return to camp and chase set off. In game i made a hotkey for chase so when i need to move the team i press a button and they follow me. When were gonna stay put a while i hit it again and they stop.

Thanks for the link. From what I've read through so far it looks like some very handy/useful information that I'll really need to go through when I'm home :)

I don't use kiss as much anymore unless I need something specific, as it's really easy to set up something fast for a specific situation.

To move I normally use a stick command like this:

Rich (BB code):
/bca //stick id ${Me.ID} 5 uw

That basically says for everyone connected to your EQBC to stick to your specific character ID, have a follow distance of 5 (which is close enough to where no corner/bend/tight hall will really mess you up), and to follow your z axis (such as while swimming or levitating).

I have IS boxer and I normally just hotkey tap move forward or backward for a split second while broadcasting (I know, not efficent), but you could also make another macro like this:

Rich (BB code):
/bca //stick off

Kissassist's chase is okay, it worked fine for when I used to use it frequently.

Sorry, I just run my mage across the zone and summon the rest of the group....it's why I have a mage....if can't do that, I KILL my way across the zone (using KA and chase).
