Question - dbg.txt and "knockout 3" question

In another thread, someone said to delete the contents of dbg.txt and make it read-only.

What does making dgb.txt read-only do and what does "knockout 3" mean?

It is a DeBuG file. Been there pretty much from the start if not from launch (I don't remember that far back). The knockout note is just references for the devs to find an issue if there is an issue.

If what you posted is from 2023, just delete the DBG.txt and continue playing, it will appear again. If you don't yourself regularly clean, then the file can get large and possible cause issues hence why some (I've seen posts on EG forums saying it) say make it read only so the game just skips writing to the file.

Just from installing and loading the game into the tutorial the file is 95KB's.
