Question - Daybreak Upcoming Targeting MMOBugs Users??

I'm a member of mmobugs but I have been trying to be a good mq'er by not running active hacks for the past year or so and not AFK camping stuff etc.. I don't want to post anything from that site onto this one but I did want to ask the RG community/admins have they seen the thread regarding Daybreak possibly targeting mmobugs users and specific plugin usage? Most of the plugins they listed were mmobugs specific but I did see a commonly used core plugin that RG also uses. Anyway it's an interesting thread to read and wanted to bounce it off the community to see if there was any additional information that can be shared or thoughts etc..

Since it's plugin detection related, I was going to post my thread here but yah, not really sure where else place it

I also want to put a disclaimer out there , I have nothing against mmobugs and there compile/staff etc.

Just a concerned mq'er!

eqmule said it best... If DBG wants MQ2 gone, its toast. He straight up said, if they started purposely making it difficult to maintain MQ2 hes done. Its just not worth his time for the little amount of donations he gets. As someone that dedicates a lot of time for community macros and such I share that sentiment. You do it, because you love it. If you stop liking it, you won't do it.

So to answer your question, should you be concerned? Hell yes you should, this type of direct plugin based detection hasn't been done by them before. Now that all said, I think they realize how many players they stand to lose by all this, so I think they just want to keep them off the new server coming out.

Mq2 detection is to be expected (for phinny) I can't say much about it yet, cause well I don't have much info that I can share) but rest assured, the plugins in the test exe right now are just a sample for their test, it's not the final list, so there is no reason to panic, we knew the scan was coming and also, targeting mmobugs wasn't intentional, probably just a zip they grabbed that had pre compiled dlls in it and they picked out a few that had "nefarious" names...
Take my word for it or not, but you will notice both mq2mmobugs.dll and mq2cast.dll will be gone from the scan in the next exe.

As someone mentioned before there are multiple actual bad plugins that should be scanned for instead of those two which both are non malign and completely inactive.

Mq2docrack, mq2warp, mq2ghostkill etc. the list is long so anyway, there are plenty of better candidates for the scan, and I'll do what I can for them to include those instaed.
