Problem - CWTN Plugins shifting modes unintentionally

I am having issues where several of my CWTN plugins (MQ2Cleric, MQ2BST, MQ2Enchanter) which are now for some unknown reason either defaulting to "assist" mode (instead of manual) and/or automatically shifting to "assist" mode after random intervals from being manually placed in "vorpal". I run my warrior tank in sictank mode and use the "follow me" to have my group (currently consisting of a bard, beastlord, druid, warrior, enchanter and cleric) with the warrior, beastlord, enchanter and cleric all using the CWTN plugins. The bard and druid are using Kissassist .inis from the Resource section of the Redguides website.

As long as the CWTN plugin group stays in "vorpal", everything works great but if/when a plugin suddenly shifts to "assist" mode the affected character runs away from the group and to some obscure camp spot which is usually on other side of zone and of course through hostile territory. This shift can occur after random intervals of play. I have also had situations where the normally assisting group fails to either heal or assist the tank even though a camp had been set. Again, when everyone stays in their manually assigned modes, everything works great. It is only when the mode unintentionally shifts that everything falls apart. NOTE: Even the classes using Kissassist .inis have mysteriously tried to run away from group to some unknown location (this happened in Howling Stones). Why would non CWTN characters seemingly appear to be attempting to return to some unknown "campsite"? Setting a new campsite is the first thing I do as a warrior in sictank mode. I am using the following macro to move/set campsite:

/war mode 0
/war mode 7
/bca //afollow off

This places a new camp circle at current location and takes group out of autofollow so that they can assist without trying to assist and "follow" at the same time---which does not work too well. If you guys have a better way to shift camp sites with warrior in Sictank mode, please let me know. Also if repeated use of this Social macro is the cause of my CWTN plugins shifting modes to "assist", please let me know---thank you...

put tank in sictank mode
put team in chase mode

as you move about use a social with :
/war resetcamp

sets camp to where you at now

never use autofollow for toons that have to go into combat, thats just gonna give bad results.

for the plugins to go from whatever mode to normal, you will have to have zones with no mesh in them.

you're doing something somewhere that is causing that shift. the only shifting from modes we do is from the puller version to the non pull version if you change zones or swap somewhere by a large distance like a coth. this would take you from pullerassist to assist, or pullertank to tank --- or kick you to manual mode if you tried to go in an assist/tank mode and didn't have mq2nav with a mesh.

we don't randomly swap modes and in the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours running/testing/building i've never seen the plugins just decide they want to change modes to assist mode for no reason.

I would give a watch to the "how i move my group around" video in my signature and check out my > Hotkeys Resource <

Thanks---appreciate the response. Everything worked fine today although the cleric and BST were in assist mode instead of Manual when I logged them in. Not really sure what the purpose of all of the various modes are, especially "assist" when everyone assists in "vorpal" mode as well if camp is set. I made a "camp on" macro using your tutorial. I copied it verbatim but it didn't seem to accomplish what my "Move camp" macro as described above does. Perhaps I am misinterpreting how your macro should be written. Here is what I have for what I entered for my "Camp On" macro:

/bcga //camphere on
/war mode 7
/noparse /bcg //docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} mode 1
/war resetcamp

I am not sure whether line three requires account specific information within the braces....

put tank in sictank mode
put team in chase mode

Thanks! Yeah, leaving them in autofollow when fighting doesn't work too well. Thanks for the tip, I will give it a shot!!!

this does not set a new camp for kissassist characters. This tells them to stop folllow, and since you set a camp for them in the beginning they will go back to their camp.

EDIT
ahh shit, think you figured it out

Yah if you logged out in assist mode via set by command, you will log in as assist. This is correct.

Your hotkey there is literally setting everyone to mode 1, assist mode
