Problem - Ctrl+F and Chase not turning off

So sometimes, my character runs itself right into a corner while using chase or ctrl+F. Short of /q, what can I do to turn off the autorunning feature of chase and ctrl+F so that I can regain control of the toon before my blood pressure reaches unsafe levels?

if you are in chase mode and then want to navigate to something with control-f - you will want to go to mode 0 to do that, otherwise you will end up with conflicting behavior.

in the same way you wouldn't want to have "follow me" turned on AND in chase mode

or a camp set and in chase mode

In Ctrl-f mode, you can use /nav stop Or you can go into /nav ui and turn on the option to stop navigation when you press a direction key.

I said "while using chase or ctrl+F", not "while using chase and ctrl+F". The intent was to convey that the behavior occurs with either one of them turned on, not both at once. I should also note that, from chase mode, I've tried switching it to manual, but absolutely nothing changes. The toon just keeps running.
