Here is my little AA/Plat grinding spot in Crypt of Sul. You will need IVU to run to the campspot. There should be no mobs that see through IVU here or along the way to the spot.

BEWARE!!!

This camp spot is for the very insane, well geared, group with crowd control!

My group is Mage (pettank), Shaman, Enchanter (puller) with 2 wiz mercs and a healer. I also swapped out a wiz merc for a bard. Mobs are undead so some classes would really do great here.

You MUST tuck yourself into the corner on the map. Shrink or group shrink will help. Most every other spot will result in at least 10 adds. The pathing in this zone is terrible, and they aggro like crazy. Sometimes my puller will target a mob that runs to the other side of the room before he can pull the mob, which in turn brings another 4 or 5.

The named PH is the "a skeletal sentinel" in the center of the room. The named is The Watcher and he is QUITE MEAN. He casts a very mean dot that you can debuff by doing /sit. You may want to add this to your melee file (not tested):

Rich (BB code):
/if (!${Me.CombatState.Equal[COMBAT]} && ${Me.Buff[Radiant Decay]}) /sit

The named drops group gear, but it is all no trade. He also drops the EM item for this expansion, Essence of Life (spells), armor visuals, and scraps of wither and decay (rare). He once dropped 3 different types Essence of Life, 2 chest pieces, and the legs all at one time.

The rest of the plat is made from diamonds or other vendor trash that drop with every mob. Usually an average of 200p per mob you kill. You will also get collection drops which can sell up to 20k. There are over 20 mobs in this room and they respawn every 7 minutes I believe.

Note: The PH spawn timer is twice as long as the trash mobs. There is another named in the room just south called Devourer of All that drops a nice aug so other people may be calling CC and/or running past your camp to get to the devourer camp.

Note big balls required to afk in a current top tier zone =).Still fun though.

I've come back dead a few times just because of a misstep in mezzing or something. I'm going to post another camp that requires less CC but it also slower and has no named. :) I'm also watching the maps to see where other people are camping so I can try it afk or at least semi-afk.

Also worth mentioning that there are a few *highly* desirable augs in this zone (one of which is in the adjacent room) and so sometimes it is heavily trafficked. Please use some type of AFK tool and common sense if you are gonna leave it running unattended.

You can create an event for Camp Checks and call both Watcher and Devourer. No reason to go near that end of the zone other than those camps, except maybe shiny hunting.

True, but I think it is still noteworthy so people know it's not 100% obscure like Sepulcher for example.

Definitely agree it's a great camp spot. I've semi-AFK'd there myself earlier in the expac. ;) Just have seen too many people get zinged b/c they weren't smart about doing AFK killing (but I guess that's their fault mostly so...).

Yes everyone should be using AFK tools! For so many reasons!!! Maybe we should always preface these with AFK tools and a link to it. Like GTFO.

Could you give me an example of the event you spoke about? Sorry not used to events yet just scratching the surface

Just as a little pro tip:

You don't need to have the MQ2Melee holy to sit if you get the DoT on you. Why, do you ask? Well, because DBG decided to use this effect:

http://spells.eqresource.com/spells.php?id=48120

It's listed as beneficial. Just add it to your blocked spell lists and you don't have to think twice about it again.

Pro tip #2:

The Devourer of All's DoT/DD/whatever the hell is also tagged beneficial and can be blocked.

awesome camp. Sat on it while getting earring for my toons till some douche from GH decided to keep training me. Some form of Mezz is a definite must there, as the pathing can conspire to bring 5+ at times. That area is good for placing a campfire though, so its all cool... =)

Awesome tidbit about the blocking spells, the other spell is "Insatiable Hunger" just did up a few of my toons with that. I got 1 more earring I need to get in the future ...

If you are AFK and someone calls out Camp Check, you can set it up where your team responds even if afk? Or did I read that wrong

You can set it up but that is really not going to do much good if someone does a different variation of Camp check(as in "what camps are taken?, who is camping what?, etc etc etc ).

You can't really cover all the use cases, plus if you script it to answer camp checks, then you have to code it to only answer once in a while otherwise someone will discover your scripted answers and keep sending camp checks to trip you up.
