Problem - crashing

I have been away for a month or 2 and now when i try to run the game I crash all but 1 instance not sure if its eq(i would assume you all would be all over the boards if this was it) or if innerspace is haveing an issue or mq2.. i load them up useing auto login in mq2 and start them via innerspace anyone having issue with innerspace?

nope no mq2nav just the mq2navigation i changed that to 0 but no help i just find it odd that one account logs in.. and not alway the same one while the other 5 get booted..

Also check you aren't loading mq2medley some people have reported issues with that

wasn't there a problem with the auto-login thing a month or so ago? Does the update for vanilla include the fix for the auto-login stuff?

Personally I'd copy your MQ2 folder over to a backup spot, and install the RedGuides installer and start a fresh MQ2 folder. Try logging in, then copy your INI's and try again. Keep putting the pieces back in play until it stops working. If a fresh install of MQ2 (vanilla) and interspace still crash your clients.. then perhaps there is a problem between the programs.

Best of luck!

yea thats probably my next step i dod verify that i can log in without mq2 so i'll work it from there

I have 1 toon that crashes every time it zones. I'm assuming it's a problem with the mac that is currently running. My Sk use to crash a lot and I rebuilt his Melee file and it quit. I don't use ISboxer so can't help there. Sorry.

Try a clean, new install of MQ2 (back up your old folder first) and let us know what happens.

I've just started having an issue with chat (so far /say and/ooc) all 3 accounts crash first time this happened was yesterday (03/18/16)
I was in BoT the first time Crypt of Decay the second time been using MQ2 for some time and no issues till yesterday
I only use MQ2 no other software

Please run "update.exe" before reporting issues. After you run it, let us know if the problem persists, as that's a crash we haven't heard of.

I'm pretty sure my crashing issues are being caused by mq2posse. I keep taking that bugger out of my ini file with mq2posse=0, but it keeps getting changed to =1 somehow. When it is loaded, I crash much more frequently. Any way to get it fixed or is there any debugging I can do?

Another option to consider is UI changes/issues. If I can't definitively say that MQ is causing an issue I'll try resetting my UI first. I don't know how many times that fixed my problem without ever messing with MQ.

Hello Folks I have been having this same issue since the pach on the 16th. I have changed from Innerspace and MQ2 to Win EQ and MQ2 and have experincedd Zero crahses since then. If you have a subscription to ISBoxer you get Wineq with it. So all you hve to do is set up Profiles and short cuts for all of your toons. Not to hard to do. the program has the same general menue system for for launching indvigual characters but does NOT do characters like ISboxer/Innerspace. You can still creat a shortcut per toon on your desktop or do what i do and creat them on the desktop and then put t hem in a folder Labled WineQ and luanch them from there. First time log in you will need to put in your username and password for each account character profile. After that just the PW. Also unlike isxboxer you don't have to worry about the toon name if you choose to change the toon you loead in EQ. Simply load that account and just change the character at aharacter selection. I hope this helps you folks with the frustcrating Crashing Issues. Please let me know if this works for you guys. I would appricate the feed back :)

Razadine.

I noticed this and switched myself. For me it was not being able to use MQ2Navigation. The crashes also stopped after i switched from isboxer to WinEQ. I miss broadcasting though lol.

There is a post in this thread:

http://www.redguides.com/community/...utologin-Guide?p=242155&viewfull=1#post242155

that tells you how to make a .batch file to launch your accounts. I could not get it to work with autologin (it kept skipping my first box) but it's nice to start multiple WinEQ boxes at once.

turned out it was not your program but rather my computer having issues a trip to the repair shop fixed all issues

Just came back after about a 6 month break and find the crashes while zoning a common issue for me. Installed a fresh MQ with same results ( verified mq2nav was not loaded ) . Just tried NOT using WinEQ with some positive results. Will continue testing..

Can you post the plugin section of your macroquest.ini?

This is what I am down to at the moment and still get the crashes when loading.

I'm wondering if it isn't more of a WinEQ issue however as I have far less trouble just loading from Launchpad instead.

have you tried "validate assests" through the EQlauncher? It checks all your EQ files, incase any are corrupted

Just a quick heads up to all you "crashes" today my red flag went flying in my brain cause I had 2 pc's that kept crashing just 1 or 2 cleints and that's not normal....

so I remembered it has been 6 months since maintenance! Maintenance, what the fuck is that? A Pc is not a refrigerator or a jet engine?!?!

It is however a moving BREATHING machine that requires MAINTENANCE!

What does that consist of?

1. Power it down and pop the case, try not to be alarmed by all the "dust bunnies" and sheer caked dirt you will see. The closer to the ground or floor the pc is the more "dirt" it collects!

2. take it out for a nice long walk on the beach... ok NOT the beach but do take it outside or in your garage at least, never "clean" your pc where it lives, or you might as well just leave the dirt where it is.

3. use either a can of compressed air or an air compressor set to just as light as possible, or in a pinch a wet dry vac on BLOW, Never suck!
3a. START blowing from the inside CENTER of your case to the outside edges, this forces the "crap" that blew in back the way it came! This is kind the difference between cleaning and packing!
Blow out the fans in the power supply, 1st from the inside out, then the front fans if any and the cpu cooler... then after you see no more dust coming out reverse the process and blow in to remove any stuborn crap... you can rinse repeat as needed, I usually do 3 or 4 passes on a cleaning....

4 Now BEFORE you slap that bad boy back together lets make sure you didn't break something! VISUALLY inspect all the connection and push in or wiggle anything that attaches to anything. Wiggle the ram (most ram is held in by plastic so wiggle gently.) Push in all cables and connections. forced air can sometimes dislodge stuff!

5. Power it back up and check for items that did not connect, tis prolly a cable lose inside.

YOUR COMPUTER WILL RUN BETTER AFTER THIS! Everytime! Because cooler chips are happy chips and dirt kills! every 6 months or so, repeat this!
