Contract of war isn't quit as simple as Brass Palace, but if you can beat Brass consistently, then you can beat Contract as well. This is the procedure I use for it.
Few general notes:
Everything here, except the norrath npcs at the zone in, are kos no matter what TBL faction you have.
There are 3 named mobs: a Male Djinn, a Female Djinn, and a Bird.
The Male has low moderate dps and casts a viral dot that becomes a DT after around 30 seconds if not cured. RC at max and group purify soul will cure it. Even on my first runs with slower dps my single cleric was able to handle this. Use RC, then Group purify soul, then RC again if needed. Make an audio trigger for the term: suffocating breeze .
The Female has an a/e dot but it's her melee that is pure pain. Very high dps.
The bird has high moderate dps and spawns time? based adds. I'm not really sure of the trigger for the adds, so we'll go with time. You'll get one in the very beginning, then likely a second at around 20%. I don't think they are percent based because I am pretty sure I've spawned the first add through accidental aggro, then when I intentionally engaged, I didn't get the first one. I don't believe he has an a/e, if it does I don't notice it.
They spawn in random order. If you have no CC, you may want to keep restarting until you get the bird first because getting it last will make things much rougher.
All 3 are tethered to their spawn and will wipe all aggro, debuffs and return to full health so engage at their spawn point.
Like Brass Palace the armors can have a DS. It's hit or miss if they do. I just pop Retort on my tank at the start of the fight.

1. You start just south of Camp 1, c1. Move north to c1 and get everyone set up. There are 2 armors at the doorway (1) pull and kill them.
2. Stay at c1 and go outside and pull the next 2 armors (2.) The first named is also here but it will tether on the pull. You want to stay at c1 because if you go outside to engage, the named will likely get a smack or 2 in before tethering, at c1 generally the only thing that happens is you get hit with it's a/e.
3. Now move outside and head to c2, the south side of the bridge. Move the tank off to the side of the bridge to target (if you cross the bridge enough to be able to target you'll aggro it) then move back and put the crew on follow. I start to cross the bridge and hit fortitude. when your whole crew is at the named (3), turn off pause and go to town.
4. Move your crew to c3. Stay at this camp until all trash is cleared and you're ready for the final two named. Send your puller off to find the roamer. It roams between then 2nd named, which spawns at 9 and the point I've marked with 4. there's a ridge than it will wander along between those points. You want to get it so it doesn't add during the second named.
5. Now pull the 2 armors at the palace entrance (5.) these will single pull easily.
6. Pull the roamer inside the palace. It roams in a circle around the inside.
7, Pull the 2 mobs inside this room. Keep in mind birds are not mezzable so if one is a bird, kill it first. You want to becareful not to fall off the "stairs" leading up to the room because that can lead to pathing funtimes and likely adds.
8. Pull the 2 armors at the kings doorway. These can be pulled with an arrow or spell from the entranceway to the palace, pathing doesn't matter as much now.
9. Now it's time for the second named. On the plus side all your discs should be up. Move to just southish of the named, get ready, pop tank discs and charge the named at spawn (9.)
10. Now move to the entrance of the palace. the third named will have spawned at 10. If you are just starting out you are likely gearing up and will want to wait for your tanks discs. If you are putting out high dps and your crew is functioning well as a team, you likely have have or more of your disc left. you can charge the final named right away. Once it is dead give it's drop, a blue book looking thing, to a non essential group member.
If you rolled craps and got the bird as the final named, you likely have 1-2 adds up. Leave them CC'd and wait for the 2 mephs to path to you from the doorway to the king (8) and kill them. Once they are managed, send the person that looted from the final named up to the kings door (8) and click it. this will stop the mephs from spawning. You get 2 on death of the third named, then 1 every 90 seconds or so. The mephs are actually fairly gimp but if they pile up it can suck. There are 2 achievements here. 1 is for only getting 2 mephs, then 1 for 7 or more.
Once any adds are dead you can chat with the king, hail, say War (clickable), then type Do you know who will follow. This will pop the chest. I believe the task is unlocked until the chest is opened.
Drops are Battleworn, Dim, and misc type 5 augs or the augs from Brass/Smoke trials.
If you are running silver accounts this is not a great mission because battle worn is prestige.
My first "win" I didn't know to pre clear as I've laid out here. The armors at the kings doorway see invis. And I tried to deal with the bird adds first. So I wiped before I could click the door. I ended up with around 20 meph adds. This is loads of fun because they don't see invis, but they can "sense" you or something. And they will roam between any invis characters and the kings doorway. So it makes trying to rez up inside the mission a total pain.
