Question - Cold Goblins

So I was semi-afking with my Mage Ranger Shaman Chanter and SK when all of a sudden these Three cold goblins show up near my group. They were asking for something to warm them up! then all of a sudden I notice red text that three GMs are found in the zone, I read their names, it turns out it was those cold goblins. I do not know if these were part of a random event due to the 15th anniversary quests or not so I just logged off. Does anyone know anything about this? were they really GMs or just random spawned NPCs for a quest?

TBH When I see a GM now days I go about my normal motions just turn off moveutils on all toons and use follow and watch closely for/say from gms or tells on any of the toons rather than log off in front of them assuming I am playing at the keys.

Yea I did that for 10 mins and all they did were get in my way jump in front of me and things like that. So I port all to GL and logged off. And good to know Beastdaddy

I've seen a few of these now and they are guides. Probably best not to just log off, rather unload! I had an instance where this wolf was following me and emoting that he was hungry so I fed him twice, got given a five dose illusion potion and then it disappeared.

How do you unload? If I type /unload it crashes Everquest.

Unload shouldn't crash it unless you have shut the program outside of EQ and THEN typed /unload (in the mq2 chat window).

If it's an issue, use beastdaddys method and pause it.
