Question - Check a target is a merchant?

Is there a way to check if a targeted NPC (without an open merchant window) is a merchant? Attempt to open the merchant window and hope for the best?

Assuming you're using MQ2 any vendor names should show in orange text. If not, most vendors have (Insert Vendor Type Here) under their name.
