Request - Chanter -

What are you specifically looking for that KA doesn't handle? I have a friend who uses KA for his chanter now after previously using his own macs. It took some convincing to get him to try it, but I think he likes it better.
 
I cant add everything a chanter does to kiss without bogging it down - I can dumb it down to slow debuff and mez - and only cast nukes but anything else over does it wanting it class specific to see if I can make it what I need it to do

WHAT exactly are you trying to get the enchanter to do???????? Keep in mind the following please:

1) The macro is after all called KISS assist (Keep It Simple Stupid) so its intended to be a generic but fully functional macro for all classes based upon roles and class actions...
2) That does not mean that we can't incorporate added functionality if we deem it worthy and useful enough to the community as a whole.
3) Outside of crowd control mezzing, slowing, debuffing, nuking, dotting, sending in pet to attack... what else is a chanter gonna do in battle??????? Any AA/SPELL/ITEM you want to use... you can use.. so I'm kind of confused as to what you want your toon to do that it can't do already?
4) 90% of the time... the answer is YES... the toon can do that.... it's just a matter of you becomming aware of how to configure your ini properly to initiate it.

Yar I was curious to what is it you are trying to your chanter to do?
 
I sent the originator of this thread post (wannabehacker) a PM requesting feedback as to what are the specifics he is unable to do with chanter.. awaiting response.
 
The only thing I could think of was keeping a chanter pet charmed and using it to pettank! Who want's to tackel that!

Technically that can be done.. since i'm fairly sure there is a .charmed class object... but it would be a pain in the arse to setup... and besides ... I highly doubt we would ever consider developing that or ever putting it into KA.

Did they change how charm works as a whole.. or just for higher level charm spells???
Because last i knew (years and years ago i played a chanter) each subsequent re-charm of a mob lasts for a shorter duration of time.
 
The charm break is completely random, but with the appropriate AAs, tash, and blocking spells that remove tash, charms will usually last the entire duration. There are some bad runs of the RNG that cause an occasional adrenaline rush, but for the most part charmed pets are solid chanter dps. The sucky part is that KA bots will keep the re-charmed pets on the hate list and the chanter has to issue lots of /switch es.
 
Pet charming is not done too often, way to random and complicated to macro. That is why I have completely avoided it in Kiss.
 
With how easy charm is now to maintain adding it to a macro would be doable but it definitely wouldn't fit into the profile of KISS. I've got a couple simple chanter bots that I've been working on and one of them does ok on charming, but I'd not try it in current content. Charm breaks in TDS can really tear the tank apart if you aren't there to watch the situation closely. If it's a real tank PC using BDB in conjunction with the recharm helps tremendously but then again, lots of things cannot be rooted so that stops that from time to time to.

I am curious too what it is you wish to do that KISS can't handle?

I doubt we are going to hear back from wannabehacker as to what he wants to do that KISS isn't able to . . . . he's been on several times since I sent him the PM... no reply to PM.. no reply to his own thread...... last login date for him was "12-04-2014 08:06 PM"
 
the response time I am wanting from kiss I tweaked little bit - but I am used to using AFnuke - a moded version for my mezz's and such - I normally mass pull and PBAE - and AE mez and kiss does not allow it to do both - nyte has a old enchanter macro I used to use that allowed it - but I cant not find it to save my life to revive it - Yes I know ive been on a lot since and did not response I do work and have a scattered brain - excuse me - not sure on the assumption why I wouldn't respond - but here I am -

1 - Id like to see if we can take in to fact some of TDS mobs are not mezzable - but are stunnable Maybe add a PBAE Stun - mez - to the ae mez section -

2 - Enchanters get a GROUP GOM - Which id like to see if we can tweak GOM - to allow other classes to proc off the Enchanter Group GOM -

3- The New Enchanter Nuke - that Returns Group mana - Is crashing the ini . on successful proc - it only does this when the enchanter has to rez mez after Casting this nuke


The ability of the enchanter is fine with kiss since I tweaked the aa cooldown and the global spell reaction - The above listing is what I am curious on if any way possible -

My apologies wannabehacker ... I sometimes forget other people have lives.. lol

1) I'm interested in the details of what/how you "tweaked" response time.... it might prove useful.
2) I need more information on the enchanter group GoM... what is the exact text that gets displayed when group GoM goes off... what is the actual name of the short duration buff (song window) that displays... does this short duration buff appear for everyone in the group when it goes off... etc etc etc. This is definately something I want to look into and incorporate into KissAssist since the benefit potential is large.
3) I'm totally confused as to "The New Enchanter Nuke - that Returns Group mana" .. its spell name.. what exactly is happeneing... what error messages you get.... anything and everything you can provide.

I'll await your response and take it from there.... please be as detailed as possible .. so I have good information to start investigating.

Just to help out: Enchanter group gift of mana is from the gift of gracious mana aa.

[Mon Dec 08 08:21:36 2014] You are granted a gift of gracious mana.

It hits everyone in the group and gives them a single charge gift of mana in the song window. It procs off spells that the enchanter casts. Just like gift of mana does.


The nuke he's talking about is Intellectual Appropriation.

Can you do me a favor and tell me the exact name of the "single charge gift of mana in the song window".

All we need to do is create a single line event trigger with the different trigger text of "You are granted a gift of gracious mana." to activate the existing GoM function in kissassist. This way both the norman GoM and this other GoM trigger are handled.

As far as getting all the other toons to fire off their GoM event once they receive the "single charge gift of mana in the song window".. i need the exact name of the song window buff for this.

If you are using KissAssist v7.6.5 or newer .... you should already have built in support for existing GoM to trigger for Gracious Mana.

#Event GoMOn "#*#granted a gift of#*#mana#*#"
#Event GoMOn "#*#You have been granted gift of#*#mana#*#"

Those two triggers should cover normal spell range Gom trigger and gracious mana.

Trigger for Gracious Mana is: "You are granted a gift of gracious mana."

So it should be caught by the first trigger,
