so i have a simple '/bcaa //casting "gate" gem8' hotkey that i use to have all my casters gate...i noticed last night and still today that it doesnt work for specific characters? even if i just use "/casting "gate" gem8" on that characters screen it still wont work...what gives??

yea, all on the same computer
i havent...but doesnt KA use mq2cast as well? characters are casting fine thru KA

It is possible to have different plugins for different instances of EQ/MQ even on the same computer. Might try /plugin list to make sure everyone does in fact have MQ2cast.

the 2 accounts in question have it running...when i unload it i get an red msg saying '/casting' isnt a valid command.
do you have mq2twist loaded too? if so try using /twist (gem#) like /twist 8. See if it will cast with that toon mq2twist uses the cast plugin and might work for that instance, other then that last would be to logout and stop mq2 and delete mq2cast and redownload the mq2 and see if it works then.
i do have mq2twist on my bard and he is working fine...ill try redownloading it and see....i have 7 toons that are casters and the /casting command just doesnt work on 2 of them as of yesterday....so i dnno wtf is going on

that include file uses MQ2Cast plugin for casting. It has a lot of nice upgrades from Spell_Routine.inc, with only the small (but annoying) habit of timing out on long recast spells and gets itself in a loop.

Do the effected toons cast other spells just fine? IE is it casting in general for those toons, or trying to cast those particular spells that is going wonky.

Edit* a fresh install in a new directory works...
Edit2* so i deleted all the *.dll files and reinstalled into the same directory and mq2cast still wouldnt work on the 2 specific toons, so then i moved all the *.ini files to a new directory and reinstalled again and it works.....so what *.ini file in the base directory would mess with this? any ideas?

Not sure, I'm at work now... But I deleted all of the dll's in that directory and then reinstalled into the same directory and it still did not work... But when I removed all of the ini files in that directory and let it reach create new ones it did. Could the mq2melee inI file be messing with it maybe?
cant use /casting on 2 toons for anything...memorized or not. It has something to do with their mq2melee files...no clue why. but i narrowed it down to that file
*edit annnnnnnddd i figured it out. i had a downshit in both their ini files to use DE mask illusion, but i had the mask in a bag (where it cant be used on TLP) and b/c of that shit was getting borked apparently with /casting

sounds like we may need to ask the powers that be to develope a TLP friendly MQ2Cast that utilizes MQ2Exchange again when it detects you are on a TLP server. If I recall rightly it currently utilizes /useitem or /itemnotify to click in a bag.
