You need to provide a bit more info before we can help you.

Have you ever used MQ2?
Have you ever used KISS successfully?

What is not working, nothing?

So what you should do is rename the KissAssist_charactername.ini that is not working to something like KissAssist_charactername_BROKEN.ini and type /mac kissassist on your necro . This will create a default KissAssist_charactername.ini file in your \Release\Macros directory

Read up on the links that Redbot gave you they have all the relevant info.

Take your necro to some zone where there is little risk of dying, instance preferred.

Then you should open up the broken .ini file from 3 years ago AND the new .ini file side by side (two views of Notepad++ will do nicely)and start adding things one by one to the new .ini .

Run kissassist after each change to .ini and see what happens.

I do not know enough about level 74 necros to see what is wrong exactly, but you should be able to find the culprit.

Old .inis and old macros often have useful tidbits

After putting in the appropriate time to get your necro working A-Okay, you can post your working INI like others who have come before you =D

With respect, what Redbot was suggesting is that you get used to a complex (but relatively simple (when youre used to it)) program by starting small... Few spells and actions. Get used to that, which shouldn't take too long, and then go back to your beloved Necromancer.

The experience gained by walking before you run will be invaluable.

What he also pointed out was that you are using an old .ini (1.0) from 3 years ago in the new latest non-beta KissAssist (8.5.5). We are on 9.0.5 right now and there have been alot of changes.

Although you contribute to the website by your level 2 subscription, that is to get access in order to use the latest versions of the MQ2 program. From what I understand pretty much everything else is supported by volunteers that would appreciate donations for their time and effort to provide the tools, and the explanations (manuals). Those tools are created hopefully to make your life less tedious, more interesting, and fun. You're right some of what's on the website is old, and out of date. Most of it will work with some tweaking, and thats why its kept there. Although we all would love an instant solution to our issues, that can't always happen, however you will almost always be guaranteed a reply to a courteous and polite request.

Most responses from the community will expect you to do some work to help resolve the issue yourself with some for of guidance, or provide additional detail to base their advice on.

Sorry I couldnt resolve your Kiss issue, but I wish you luck.

1 Delete any ini file for your necro you have
2 Target your sk
3 /mac kissassist
This will create a new ini file
4 /setdps 1 2 3 etc
1 2 3 are the gem numbers of the dots you want to use.
5 /dpson 1
6 /peton
will make pet attack
7 /chaseon
Will follow your tank
8 read the instructions for any buffs you want to add and fill in your pet stuff.
9 run around and enjoy EQ

ok, created a level 1 cleric with tank merc. cleric is pulling, buffing and healing and that like he should, got that much figured out. He is level 5 now, just got him fabled J-boots, figure out how to auto use clickies now.....

Usually you can make an old INI or Macro work with some rewriting of the code.... sometimes it is a major overhaul BUT the dang thang may have a kernal of worth as an idea sparker, the muse of a creative coder. I ain't one of them so I've only heard about it. I would never want to eliminate old threads unless storage space got low. I do surf them regularly.

ok, i think i may have it figured out for the most part...
it is not INI files, whatever those are
they are just simple commands in notpad to make your toon do what you it to do......
