Question - cant figure out loading a hud (1 Viewer)

Ive used a hud a long time ago, but now i'm trying them again but cant get it to load. ive tried the normal commands (/default hud, /loadhud warrior, etc) and i get the message that the hud is already loaded, but nothing new shows up on my screen. the plugin is loaded, and the display is set to on (used f11), but its still not showing up. any suggestions?

I was using the default hud ini file included with the compile, and i also tried an ini file a friend uses; didnt load in either scenario
 
There is no hud in the compile.

Create or make sure you have MQ2HUD.ini in your compile folder

I'm double derrrrr today. yeah, the ini file to which i referred was from when i used huds in the past...and apparently somehow i stuck it in the macro subfolder, not the main folder, so it works fine now that its in the proper location. Thanks again for the help! :)
 
one more, unrelated, question. i've been having problems lately with not using melee skills. initially, things seem to work fine, but then after a while, or sometimes when i switch characters, things like backstab and withstand stop activating automatically; to fix the issue, i have to completely log out of eq (but not mq.) any idea why this might occur?
