is there a way to kick off a command or macro when a character gets logged in ?
example: have your mage go ahead and summon his food/drink.

you could use mq2react to do this or mq2melee with downshits

you can also use the .cfg files as an option info > here <

<server>_<character>.CFG - Executed when this character enters the world

For your use case I would go with a react.

I use both. I use a react to summon food/drink and a server character cfg to run a macro that loads and unloads certian plugins, claims by DBCash, echos out loyalty points (so I know to start spending some)
