New question, game updated but its saying that very vanilla isn't matching up against the new eq install. Where do I update?

They're currently working on the update. MQ has to rebuild itself with every patch, and with it being an 8 hour downtime, the rebuild might take a bit longer than usual. These folks also volunteer their time to do these builds, they're not paid EQ devs so they're working their best to get it out in ample time. They said they're hoping for it to be back up at some point tonight. You can subscribe to the updates for it through e-mail and it should let you know when the most recent update has been released.

Will there be an update button the launcher or do I d/l it and apply it over the top of the existing build?

Once the update goes through, the update button should be where it normally is on the RG Launcher in the top right, where originally "Install" was the button, or currently it says, "Patch Day-Unavailable".
I do believe they've implemented it to where MQ will rebuild itself on certain patches, but w/ the extent of this one, it's taking longer than usual.
