Question - Buffs not targeting mercs?

I am likely doing something wrong. But I cannot get my KA players to buff my mercenaries unless it is a group buff. They just seem to ignore them.

Examples from 2 toons:
Buffs2=Hastening of Erradien|Melee
or
Buffs6=Vicious Ferocity|Melee

These will never cast on any melee mercenaries, but casts fine on any actual players in group.

If the buff is on you, try clicking it off and see what happens.

It get buffed back on to me, but not the merc. If it is a group spell they get it because of the group. Here is another one that for the life of me I cannot get it to cast on the merc.

Buffs7=Focused Paragon of Spirits|class|clr

It could be because of the melee tag, have you tried removing the melee tag and see if it buffs the merc?

it does, but for reasons like the second example where I want to target a spefic person (My cleric which is a merc) how would I do that?

In the first example if I remove melee it is going to buff Vicious Ferocity on everyone in the party which is not going to work.

I know this is several months old but I'm having a similar problem now - was there any fix discovered?

Oddly the |Caster tag works fine for me and will target my DPS Caster Merc with the appropriate buffs, but the |Melee tag will not cast Temperance on my Warrior Merc.

@nealhamer Can you get a Debug log and PM it to me. Most of the time when this is an issue, it has to do with the spell you are trying to cast will not stack with the Buffs on your merch.
