One thing I find distracting when running more than one group in KA is that my MQ2 windows gets really spammy. I use MQ2Dannet so I changed line 376 to the following:-

/varset BroadCastSay dgtell group_${EverQuest.Server.Lower}_${Group.Leader.Name.Lower}

Not sure of the equivalent for EQBC. When running a single group there's no difference really. But running 2 groups (or more) it means you can actually see what your group is doing. I thought I'd share if anyone else has been in the same situation but it hasn't quite bugged them enough to do anything about it (it's bugged me for ages!).

Thanks for the good tip.. I'm working up the gumption to run two groups but haven't quite gotten there yet.

I feel ya, but I want to see what everyone is doing in the EQBC window. so in KA 12 if you have both DanNet and EQBC turned on, EQBC is used for messages and DanNet for everything else.. I like watching from my pullers window, if I have my other members NOT sending messages to my pullers EQBC window, then that means I have to switch to another window.. What? I am logging off and going to bed, this is just to much like work..

Maybe a mod I will keep to myself then. I guess for me it's an issue because with one group they are 24/7 self sufficient without intervention and the other i tend to debug macros etc, so the mq2 output is important to me. Ideally we could put mq2 , EQBC, and dannet output into tabs!

you can turn on eqbc window, so everything eqbc goes to its own window:

/bccmd set window on

and then i would look into blocking out some of the eqbc spam by using these 3 options:

-- silentcmd - Squelch 'CMD: [command]' echo -- silentinccmd - Squelches incoming eqbc command requests -- silentoutmsg - Squelches outgoing /bct with compatmode on

really makes a huge difference that you only see the message that kiss broadcasts like did a level, or whatever is broadcasted and not all the command spam.

I play like ctaylor where i have my tank/puller in the foreground and just watch what the group is doing through eqbc messages that kiss supplies

I play like that too on my main group, but I only monitor my background toons by virtue of whether the mob dies or I'm dead lol. But then my KA ini are tried and tested now.

I don't use eqbc but I guess I could for KA12. Is there a version that is "the best"? I can't remember which one i used to used but it would lag out after a few hours play.

Makes sense to use eqbc for chat stuff and dannet for netbot stuff.

KA11 had an issue locking up when using DanNet. Made some adjustments in KA12 and DanNet works much better.
