Sorry me again, my wife likes the idea of this system. However, she doesn't get alot of time to play. That being said she wants me to build a killer group that can easily sustain nameds, Merc and partisan achievements, and help her level as well as her brother.

Currently I have a 125 sk, 125 bst and a 121 zerk, I thought about tossing a bard in the mix but figured I'd get some ideas from y'all. Appreciate any tips for a group combination.

And ideas where to power level both of them she is 108, and he is 95.

Need details on Wife & brothers chars. I'd suspect you adding a H100 Bard would benefit everyone.

Lots of group optimization posts on here if you search.

Bards are good.

Take your sk and the 95 and go to FM. Pop a lesson on the 95 and swarm, no RG tools needed, and they’ll be 100ish by the end of the lesson if you stay busy.

I usually hang out there or RoS zones until 110ish.

Sometime around 113, run through the ToV paragons for those xp bumps.

I usually slow down around 115 so can’t help you much there but just go hunt whatever content you want with your core group and they’ll be fine. They won’t contribute much, but it’s fine

Try Sathirs Tomb. Easy 180+ kills/hour when afk. Or do The Darkness Howls mission in GMM, my best was 280 kills/hour when manually driving my 6box. But the Darkness Howls stops scaling at 110, so every mob is between levels 109 and 111. The mobs are at about 4-5 million hp, so you can burn through these gnomies

Edit: AFK as in "using autopulling and watching netflix" while actively monitoring the game, not as in "your toons slaying while you are at the beach".

You need a healer to really do Named non stop. I suggest adding a Shaman. Great buffs, some slow action and will do decent DPS on trash when non-stop healing is not necessary.

Pick a tank...I like a war or SK, ranger, wizard, then I say chanter, cleric, and mage or another wiz....Im saying caster group since you already have the wiz. good DPS. Can handle bad pulls with CC and enhance damage.

and dont AFK....just pick a toon and play. thats the fun part. I switch through toons all the time.

Optimal groups are comprised of a tank, a healer, crowd control, and 3 DPS classes.
Regarding your group makeup beyond that
- CC -- Bards are actively benefitting the group regardless if caster or melee. An Enchanter has limited buffing potential, but also excels on an unmatched level at crowd control.
- Healer -- Cleric can 100% rez on occasion, 96% in combat, and give some healthy HP buffs. Shamans are more versatile and provide sufficient healing. I have no opinions on Druid - perhaps someone else could chime in on their preference.
- Tank -- SK is the GOAT, Paladins are a good alternative, most have suggested that warriors mainly shine in raids, but I find them to be effective with a properly equipped group.
- DPS -- DPS has a lot of options. Characters like beastlords bring a lot of value to groups. Where-as Zerker/Rogue don't contribute to the rest of the group but they consume from others like the beastlord/bard in a way that really shines. Classes like a necro can deal high amounts of damage, but it takes them time to get going. Synergies and auras should be taken into consideration - every class gets a synergy, that synergy plays a role in proping up the entire group. Not all classes get auras, but they can be beneficial to the group as a whole. For both of these things that means stacking two of the same class into a group can negatively impact the entire groups potential because the effects of Synergy stacking would be nil or negligable, and the auras do not stack to create a more powerful aura.

A long touted ideal group makeup is Shd, Shm, Brd, Bst, Ber, Rog

But mixing and matching based on the above information is fine as well to create another optimized variant.
You already have Shd, ___, ___, Bst, Ber, ___ of that makeup. Adding a bard would put you to 4 of the 6.
Shd, ???, Brd, Bst, Ber, Wiz, Rng - No healer? This is not an ideal group makeup.
Consider replacing the Ber with a healer - I say the Ber because they're the only non caster. Bst provides benefit to all the casters, Shd can use Beza for mana (probably going to need it for the wiz mana pool vacuum), Bard benefits the entire group on multiple fronts and provides your CC.
This is assuming wiz/rng are set in stone.

RG actively discourages afk killing. Not only is it against the "spirit" of what RG is about, but it, in our opinion, actively damages the game.
Sure. I meant AFK as in "Watching Netflix" or "Eating while playing". Not as in "Go to the supermarket"

Appreciate the feedback my friend 😃

hit Frontier mountains for a cpl hours. You can chain pull swarms with your 125 sk easily. I do the outpos in the middle. I pull that area, then the hills behind it by the statue ( quest guy ). its non stop super fast grind xp for him. once hes a bit higher move to an area suitable for the main guys just doing fast swarms til 110 ( not in FM )... maidens eye would be fine though. as would LI opening zone. You can do the quests as u chain pulkl those swarms. they dont hit hard at all an die fast enough.

I have a druid in every group, here is my perspective: I would suggest swapping the wiz to a druid if you can schmooze it. Nearly the same ports, evac, and guild hall tele like a wizard. Fantastic buffs like skin, damage shield, regen, extra rezzer, sow, tracking, foraging (cross over with other classes.) In a hybrid stance they can patch heal if your healer to be named later is in a pinch. I normally run mine in DPS mode. Direct damage is respectable and DOT can be obscene in longer fights. They do require two mana regen sources. You already have a BST. If you add a bard or ench, no worries.
If you hash out Sk/non druid healer/brd/bst/ranger/druid, that is a dynamite group. At 120, my Ranger continues to impress with their group synergy contributions.

Appreciate it, my brother quit playing so I forgot to add I do have a shaman. I have done a few different tactics in the past
Where the sk has cleric and pulls everything in camp in FM zerk, bst and Bard eat everything and the polvlee receives exp because they out DPS the sk, sk just holds aggro. But that 90-95 with ds and aoe taunt seems be taking a bit. I do appreciate the tips. Been trying to refresh my brain with our dashboard here, trying to find where people post their group optimization so I can get an idea for how I can or should do it.

is the long term plan that the wife and brother toons join your group as regular members or you just helping them level?
the obvious shortcoming is healing

i have two groups, though i kinda stopped playing my melee group because it was absolutely ridiculous and not challenging. War, monk, ber, sham, bard, bst. Basically, everything dies immediately, and my war hardly ever died and was just in t2 tob group gear, I find rogue to be a little gimmicky without much help to the rest of the group, monk synergy is crazy for melee.

Now i play pal, sham, mage, mage, ench, bard. I just find casters to be more my style. Not as fast or durable, but not definitely not slow either.

Bard/sham are almost mandatory for my groups, probably my favorite classes in the game.

Wifes ranger will roll with me, the brother has a main cleric 125 a long with a ranger he doesn't box. So he will inner change toons. He does a lot of stuff on his own time so it's just be me and her for most part.

Thanks for the input, I do have a few extra side accounts I can inner change in the loop but for straight power leveling purposes I love my melee set up. But each setup has its pros and cons.

Ty for the Input my friend, I am slowly refreshing my memory on everything, in 2 days I took a cleric, bard, mage from level 1 - 110 that was mainly just alt tabbing as I don't have plugins and I find kissassist to be a pita lol but I feel pretty good about my speed, mainly power leveling would be used for my family who all are returning to EQ, and some of my guildies who play for 3-6 months every 2-5 years when there not over seas.

I'd add either Enc/Clr or Bard/Shm
