So I am considering creating a cleric to complement my SK/Bard/Wizard team. So my question, can a properly configured KA cleric take the place of two merc clerics?

Or could a configured Shaman take the place of two merc clerics?

My end goal is to be down to one healer and have two wizard mercs so that my group makeup is SK/Wizard/Bard/Healer/Merc Wiz/Merc Wiz

Thanks for any assistance.

I would say it depends on how tough your SK is but I run SK/bard/shammy with 3 wiz mercs on the into the hills mac and do fine. I'd say if you swap a cleric in for shammy they could keep a tier 2 group geared sk up with all their extra buffs and better heals

Thanks for the feedback. All three of my toons have CoTF group T2 gear and my SK tanks okay (self buffed and merc buffs about 111k hp and 95k AC). And of course my thinking is if I have two merc wizards on burn and my wizard going full hilt should not be an issue as critters would not last long. I load up on aggro spells on the SK and don't even bother with Dots or DPS much. The bards focus is wizard DPS songs.

My SK was in RoF T1 group mostly. 90K HP and 7k AC fully buffed. I would call him a little weak.
KA had no problem keeping him alive with my cleric while running the "Into the Hills missions", even against the named.
Only wipes when there is a three pull and the mezzer is slow to lock them down or has resists.

I had to ditch the Shaman as he could not keep up with the damage output when mobs are hitting for 10K +.

KA can run the cleric well enough to keep up with damage output on my weak SK, should be no problem for yours.

I have a druid that can solo heal the missions provided that there is a slower. I always pop a cleric merc for the named. Haven't tried it otherwise. My SK is in T1 cotf and has 103k hp and 9.2k ac with bard songs. I think its about 8900 without the song. If you need some quick AC, grab the new summoned mage augs. They are not lore and at 34 ac a pop, you can bump up 136 ac in a snap.

I've heard others say their Sham can handle healing the DH missions but usually need extra healing for a named. I think the slow is key though... I usually run SK/Mage/Chanter/bard/Druid/ranger. I let the bard mez and chanter Slow.

My friends paladin with a boxed cleric can tank about anything slowed or not (without using defensive discs). That's using KA for both. I agree with eqgeek though, slow (and CC for me) is key to really macroing missions.

Thanks all,

When I get time, once I'm out of the field, I'll create a new cleric and drop my 2 cleric mercs. I will just have to tweak my bard a bit more to ensure that I get his slow holys down or song started early. I believe with a team of SK/Bard/Wizard/Cleric and 2 merc wizards on burn will be even easier and quicker on fights.
