Question - Best 6th For Mana Regen

Hey all,

I'm running CLR, SHD, ENC, 3x Wiz but I'd like some more mana regen. I read that bards had a nerf to their mana regen a few months back and was wondering if you recommend a bard or beastlord for mana regen (swap out a wizzie)? I want to just chain pull and keep killing mobs with no need to stop and med.

I haven't run my group with just a bard in a while (always have a beastlord), but I can say that full burns and fast pulls will cause wiz/ranger to go near oom with just a beastlord/enc. I did not actually see either of them oom... just close (like 20%).

When I had the bard+beastlord no one ever dipped below 80%.

To jump on with what Raz is saying, this is PRECISELY what I'm planning on doing right now. I like Rangers these days, as well. My ranger probably puts out the same or more sustained DPS than my zerker in my main group (SK, CLR, BRD, BST, WIZ, RNG).

Ok, I'll have to try both. I feel like from a dps perspective the beastlord would fit in better but I'm trying to grind out AAs so id really like the mana regen from a bard but it sounds like bst still could get it done, just not as well. Thanks for the advice, guys

Honestly I don't understand why you're using 3 wizards but no bard for aria and spell focus songs.

That's why I made the thread, lol. The 3 wizards work out really well, I shred shit quickly. But I want more mana regen so I can do longer grinding sessions without pausing.

the bard has a few things for you. dichrom ever 60 sec. reflexive retort aa but its a long cd. then there is crescendo ever 60 sec or so. and last but not least good old mana song.

You also get fierce eye every 3 min and that will help you kill with lest spells cast and as said above aria.

The bst might do more damage, but the bard will add more damage to everyone in your group.

the bard also has a big ac buff for your tank.

and my favorite thing of all is bard speed. I control everyone with the bard. and they all run at exactly the same speed. makes moving super easy.

You're doing something wrong if your ranger is more DPS than your zerker.
