Problem - Bard mezzing

Hello,

I just recently started back on live with my 6 box crew. I noticed when pulling multiples my bard tries to single mez first and then he casts his wave mez.

I'm at work currently so can't post the mez section of my ini. It's pretty standard though such as

Mez- standard level appropriate spell
AE mez-wave of torpor|3

But again, I pull 3 or more and he casts single target mez first and then blasts wave, which sometimes causes my tank to die while all the mobs beat him.

Please help! Lol

Mine definitely AE mezzes then goes back and tries to single target
Code:
[Mez]
MezOn=1
MezRadius=40
MezMinLevel=95
MezMaxLevel=113
MezStopHPs=90
MezSpell=Slumber of Jembel
MezAESpell=Wave of Somnolence|3

Sometimes it is just a timing issue. If there are less than 3 mobs in range, then the single mez routine is called, then after mezzing the 1 mob, now there are now 3 mobs in camp and the AEMez is called.

Is there a way to limit bard mez or alter it so he only mezzes in emergencies? I have an enchanter in my group, and I'd rather my bard focus on DPS and songs rather than mez.

well the mez logic is all based around the mezon stuff - but I supposed you could turn off mez on the bard and then set up conditionals either to a/e mez or to even change the varset to mezon should those conditions be met - like too many mobs, or health levels too low etc.

I'm interested to hear other ideas from peeps

That would be helpful. I'm very new to MQ2 and don't understand much of the programming aspect of this. Thanks in advance for any help from the community!

I don't think the [Mez] section accepts conditions. If you're up for doing some code modding, you could play around with a modded version of KA for the bard that does run a check for the enchanter and turns mez on if needed.

You could try a Hail Mary by putting your multi-target mez song in [DPS] or [AE] with a condition to check for enchanters nearby. You might need to edit this condition to check if they're alive. The corpse may count if the ench hasn't released, not sure. I think I've seen people do this "alive" check via condition, but can't find the exact code atm.

Code:
[DPS]
DPS1=Wave of Somnolence|100|cond1

[Mez]
MezOn=0

[KConditions]
Cond1=${Me.XTarget}>1 && ${SpawnCount[pc class Enchanter radius 80 zradius 50]}=0

If you're manually playing, you can toggle the Mez section on/off with:
Code:
/mezon

or broadcast that via bct to the bard from whoever you're playing.
Code:
/bct BardName //mezon

yeah mez can't accept conditions that I'm aware of, would want to put mezon to zero, but then put a dps or aoe entry with /mezon with a condition that you need met
