Question - Bard isn't playing regen while meditating

Bard doesn't twist the 2 gem slots (11 and 12) while med/downtime. Is something in the twisty logic interfering? Any help is appreciated.

12's an aura so you shouldn't need to re-twist it, as you have it in Buffs. Aura's can also have a different sing/cast time than other songs which I've seen mess things up.

If you try just 11 or two other songs, does it work?

Is the problem the bard is actually sitting to med themselves?
 
I manually remove the aura from GEM12 once it casts and replace it with Chorus which is part of my normal twist also.

The bard does sit on med, which is fine, but he should get up and cast his songs too.
 
Is it both of these or just one?

1. Is the bard dipping below your med threshold on mana/end, 20%? Like the bard is triggering their own med-time?

2. Is this when the MA sits and the group goes into "MA sits=I sits" med time?
 
Both. The tank is set on group watch to call for med. When he sits for whomever is out of mana/end the bard sits and doesn't play 11,12 regens. Sometimes it is the bard out of end, but rarely, and results are same.
 
Sounds like there is a "twist stop" type command going off during the sit phase. There was an older bug in KA10 that did something like that. Maybe @ctaylor22 can re-create or he may need a debug log from you.

I think you can set it to one song and bard will play it, sit and med while the one songs runs. I'm not sure how the two+ song logic works if the bard themselves needs to med though. That may be an overwriting "sit now, no playing any more than one song" type code.
 
So I set it back to just the one song, but I watched for a long time and noticed he does play a song, Silisia's Lively Crescendo which does given mana and regen after a 30 second build-up, but I don't know why it is playing this unless there is some logic built-in I am missing, also would expect if the regen chorus was being used mana would regen that much faster. That's listed in the buff section so wondering if something is making it think the buff is never landing.
 
twistmed should only be one song. If you're medding, you're sitting. If you're sitting, you can't sing the second song. Bards always re-sing their current song when it fades, thus when you have just one song running, it will stay up indefinitely without recasting. This is how the bard class works. If you want to sing multiple songs during downtime, just disable the med routine and let him sing his normal twist.
 
Edit: Oh the change I saw was for KA12 beta, so maybe try that one Jax.

ctaylor added the ability to run multiple med songs awhile back. Krycek's comment is good overall strat though. But KA12 (Edit) should run the 2 song med and stay standing, per my reading of the changes awhile back.

Med for Bards are tricky in that you want to do different things in different situations:
  • Bard themselves is low mana - Bard should twist one regen song for group (bard gets no benefit) and stay sitting for fastest regen. Running multi songs means you stand up to sing each one.
  • Bard is OK on mana, but MA sits - Bard should twist max regen which can be 2+ songs and not bother sitting. For super regen, you should actually swap songs and even switch to the mana regen aura. This is kind of overkill, but you can cut group downtime in half at least if you're doing multi regens.
  • Everybody is OK on mana - Bard should run one regen and some buffs songs, so group is regen'n during pull time, but still pre-buffed with songs as mobs come in. Basically your TwistWhat instead of MeleeTwistWhat.
@Jax - Yeah that short-buff regen is under Buffs, so it will still trigger. It's something about the med routine that makes bard go "twist off" before a sit and it doesn't check the songs again. I remember KA9 or KA10 had a bug like this for awhile.
