Ban people, not threads...

Can we please enhance the board and quit having to have this conversation about flames or locked/deleted threads every week?

Ban the people and end this crap, it's getting to the point I don't even like coming here anymore due to the flaming, seeing locked threads with no explanation, threads getting deleted, etc.

Just ban the people who are doing the flaming or causing threads to be locked. I'm begging...

Admin are the only ones that can ban, when we the moderators see flames we delete them if a post is bad enough we lock/delet and the issue is taken to admin. However I also suspect admin will play a more active role again once the new site goes live. Redbot has a lot of new features he is working on atm for us. Once the new site goes live I belive admin will once again be ALOT more active in the threads in general.

For now unless its a serious flame it will be handled as is.

Another thing to consider though is that not all locks are intiated by us but sometimes are requested byt the thread author. This will not always be granted but in some cercomstances such as where a thread is dedicated to something posted by one specific person that does give more weight to the request.


AND please if you see a flame report it to the moderators, if we feel said flame is bad enough we willt ake it before ADmin. And if we delet a thread or psot dont worry admin can still see what was posted to begin with...

Soul is right, give it some time. I think I've come to understand the source of these drama-bombs that come up from time to time, and rules will be put in place.
