Bug - Autofire not working

Using my 100 Ranger, sometimes the autofire won't work. I have range=1 in the melee file and toggled /autofireon a few times. When a mob comes to camp, I see the usual message [MQ2] Autofireon but it isn't really firing. This is mostly an issue when the tank pulls a ton of mobs and I'd like to HS them. The rest of the time I turn autofire off and melee.

Anyone else having this issue?

With rangers, they have a minimum range on their bows, which if I recall correctly is 30. So if anything is closer to you than 30ft, or however SOE has distance calculated, then autofire won't work. I would suggest that you have your Ranger backed up a little further away from the rest of your group so that when the melee engages, he can still sit and fire his bow. Also, don't forget that HS will proc off of the HoA line of spells.

KA has a built in range check. It will autofire first, but if the mob is too close then it will Melee. I'm fine with that... just that right now the range isn't even attempting to turn on. I can manually do that, but it defeats the purpose

range=1? I don't know what that is

your melee section should like this if you are going to use autofire and put your ranger like 100' back

Range=1 is in my MQ2 Melee file. I never changed it, so assumed that it was turning range on/off based on KA. Here is my bit in my KA ini file:

in mq2melee turn it OFF kiss handles autofire on its own. that will just interfere with it.

Will do... will let you know how it goes - currently in a caster only group so it's a good time to test.

Looks to be working, but now and again melee turns range back on... :\

Do the /melee range=0, and then /melee save
maybe that will help keep it off?
