Hi Guys, is there a way to auto follow without switching to every screen, targeting and typing follow?

Make a hotkey with this:
/bcg //stick id ${Me.ID}

When you click it everyone in your group will follow you

Make use you have eqbc server and plugin loaded. (As well as mq2moveutils)

Making use of EQBC is great for things like this. If you don't know about EQBC, heres a good link to start with:
http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php/23925-Article-EQBC-Idiot-s-Guide

and another I have found helpful:
http://www.redguides.com/docs/projects/mq2eqbc/

After you get EQBC running for each char, then it is fairly simple to control and coordinate them using it from single toon.

If yu don't wish to make use of this, then there really is no whay to stop/start you char's following you without going to each one individually.

I have however made use of making a HOTKEY on each char targeting my "lead" toon and /following him
Rich (BB code):
/pause 5, /target charname
/follow
for those times when MQ is down......

To the OP, your question indicates to me that you are at the beginning of a very long journey. So I sit here with a grin on my face knowing what lay in front of you. I hope you tackle MQ2 with an earnest desire to play EQ in a completely new way. Instead of seeing how much you can accomplish in the X hours you have each week to play, see how much you can accomplish in the Y hours you don't have to play. Or see how much you accomplish without having to ALT+TAB to other characters. MQ, to me, is simply a new way of playing a very old game. Or a new game inside of a very old game. I don't know, make of it what you will. Here's a quick thing for you, since your original question was already answered:

I would never bother boxing multiple characters without EQBC. It is absolutely essential to boxing multiple characters. Learn it, and use the crap out of it. Meistro provided important links you should probably bookmark.

Shortly you'll be setting up multi line macros that push out commands over EQBC to form your group (send invites and have the appropriate characters //keypress CTRL+I, for example) and be on your way to running an entire group from one character. You'll then start chipping away at the scenarios where you still have to change screens (like having every character click on a door, or click accept for a quest, or have a specific character unsuspend their merc). ALL of these scenarios can be managed via EQBC and understanding commands available to you through MQ and the plugins you have loaded. Godspeed.

I tell you this: There isn't a single person here that is 100% complete with their setup. We always find new ways to do things because of how much functionality is packed inside of the core MQ and the macros that community devs push out to us. It's a different kind of fun, I guess.

Depends on the macros you write. I use a custom macro to control several functions of my group. One function is any character can lead the hunt and the others will follow or they can be camped and wait for the puller to bring mobs to them. Whichever character I'm actually play can issue the commands to follow or camp.

I raid with SO many toons at the same time and they all follow, stay, nuke, heal, whatever I want, hell I even have them all drink potions when I want them to....

and the first time you use "/bcga //alt act 481" as you see a mob of mobs incoming that you know you will kill and its double exp weekend..... you will secretly smile....

man, honestly I would love a complete list of all in-game EQ /commands then a list of all MQ2 Core /commands, and a list of individual plugin /commands, and then a list of window names and objects, and THE MOON, I WANT THE MOON.

First person to put together a comprehensive list of /commands for MQ2 Core as well as the most popular plugins will get massive amounts of kudos, though. Lots of incentive for someone to do it . That someone is not me.

Very glad I asked this question, it appears I have opened the next door to all of this!

I do have one question, this will not effect all the macros I have setup so far will ? I will deal with switching computers and typing /follow if I have too. The way my toons are automated right now is flat out awesome and I do not want to screw it up.

Please let me know, and as always thanks for all the wonderful help!

ou asking about EQBC??, no it will not change a thing on how they curently run, just give you the ability to tell each session what to do from 1 session without having to change screens.

I don't know how to start a editable page but I'm sure redbot does if he could start a page called eqbc hotkeys I would list ones I use often then we could add em there with a brief description of what they do

Just read the Wiki, all of the commands are listed in there.
