Just subscribed to redguides and extremely excited to start my box group fresh from lvl 1 on live. Been a while since I've played EQ live however I started back on TLPs. Now I'm wanting to start over on live and oh how things have changed. My problem is I bought a PC it works fine 6+ on TLP.. but definitely not sufficient for live boxing even 4. Curious if anyone knows of any good deals? I'm definitely not a computer genius like some of you here but hoping I can find a decent pc and get a box group going with kissassist. Thank you in advance

We are going to need some more info.

You should not really have any problems boxing 4 on live if you could do 6 on TLP, since it is the same game engine underneath. If you have 1GB of RAM per character you should be fine.

Press Win+Pause and see what CPU and how much RAM you have and try to figure out what Video Card (Device Manager->Display Adapters) you have.

The good news is that you can box 6 just fine on a 5 year old computer.

My processor is an AMD A10-6700 APU, video card is a Radeon HD 8670D, I currently have 8 gb of RAM. Those threads you've posted have been a tremendous help! Thank you so much! Here I was thinking I needed an i7 with 32gb and a gtx980. I believe my lag problem might have to do with background processes running while running EQ. Couldnt hurt to slightly upgrade my RAM and processor I dont guess either.

Your set up should run 6 instances no problem

Upgrading the amount of ram may be the only upgrade you need. If all the ram slots are filled, could you replace them with higher capacity? Going from 8 to 16 gigs of ram really did help my EQ experience.
