Question - Any way to make caster merc nuke outside of group if cleric is owner?

I have two groups running, and one has a cleric with a maxxed caster merc.

The cleric is assisting a tank/puller/ma outside of his group.

I want to make my merc nuke my target's target (I'm healing the tank in the other group with the cleric)

Any way to make this work?

Have someone in your clerics group attack the mob and the merc *should* respond by attacking as well.

He will not assist a targets target, he will only assist the groups main assist. You can even make the cleric smack the mob if you'd like and the merc should start pew pewing normally

Pretty sure that wont work. DPS Mercs only respond if the mob has aggro on someone in group.

If you have multiple groups with mercs together, only the group whose member has the the mobs current attention will attack the mob. All other mercs will back off.

I think you are right. I tried the other suggestions above with no luck already. Bleh ...

used to work a long time ago was to add everyone to group and then try to pop mercs , sometimes it would pop extra mercs outside group and as long as you didnt zone the mercs would assist the group but i believe they long since fixed that

Make a free 2 play wizzy instead of a caster merc... That's how you get your merc to dps out of group, and cast port spells.
