Question - Any other HAs that are straight killing?

Into the Hills is obviously really popular because of the straight kills and hails. I'm wondering if there are any more HAs like this? There is one in ETWK that is close, but you have to loot and click dirt clumps. So... any others?

One of the DH ones is similar but requires looting and clicking, but no other straight kill tasks that I can recall. I think there are others that can be straight kill but also can have other steps.

I have been doing the CoTF progression tasks, I'll have to think about them again, as it seems that there might have been one or two that were only kill tasks.

Why should looting and clicking be a problem? MQ is pretty good for looting and clicking. :)

Actually, maybe clicking certain things might not be trivial.

I suppose looting and clicking isn't a big deal, but some of them have different steps every time which could be hard to Mac. I was just thinking that with some of the easier ones, a Mac can be written in a day or so.

I have a friend who has done all of them , kinda anal about expacs so im sure he would know ill see if ican reach out for some more info

There is a RoF mission that you can do that offers the WHOLE Eastern Waste zone. I am going to do a write up on it. If you do not do any of the hails and such I believe you can go into hunter mode to waste the entire zone then drop the task and repeat.

Probably well over 100 to 200 NPCs. No named but I believe all 95th level or higher.

Scouting ahead can be done also I posted an SK version for it but its not very consistent because of all the walls and shit at the end.

A helping hand is doable but I doubt I will release any others I write. Some of us actually use these responsibly while others are running them for 30 days straight never logging off going to get everyone using them banned because they dont care about their own accounts.

Yeah I like to switch it up and I don't get a lot of amusement from fully afk anyway. I think the longest I ran an HA was about 5 in a row. Then I stop and go do other stuff for a while. I think I'm going to progress through these and see if I can switch it up here and there. I've done them all on my main, but can't remember them. :-)

FIRST, I doubt that there is anyone on RedGuides that doesn't care about his own accounts.
SECOND, if you don't wish to share anymore of this type of macro with the community that is your right and your choice.
THIRD, if you don't wish to share then you don't have to be rude about it. You have written some great stuff, and I appreciate your contributions to this community! :-) I like to see things remain friendly.
FOURTH, I have not used any macro for any HAs. I am still a newb at such things.
FIFTH, I appreciate your input on how to be responsible with macros.

I went to run "INTO THE HILLS" using Pete's MQ2Bot, but I found campfires all over the place so I decided not to even try it. I am not sure that any of those groups were bots, but it was far too crowded for my taste.

His post wasn't even close to rude nor was he being unfriendly...

For what it's worth, the only time I've used your macros william12 is to test them for you. I don't release everything I write here, but I do test a lot of other peoples stuff to help find errors/bugs/tweaks. I like to share. I don't care who uses them, if they use them 30 days straight someones gonna catch them.

BTW I've done all the HA's so far (that I know of in game) and none of them are straight kills like the two in DH. They either require mixing it up or reading the window into a script and having it figure out what you've got to do. Adding in clicks isn't a big deal, but having multiple places you need to move to and possibly clicking a door here or there, finding a specific mob or building a pile of rocks and pouring blood over them can be interesting to code.

You can set it to go to different movement subs by doing a spawn check for the type of mob that is up. I.E on helping hand if X type of mob is up load this path, if Y is up load this path.

Interesting! So far it looks like Seeking Refuge in ETWK is not too bad. It's hail, hail, kill, hail, kill, hail, etc. Looting some items but not clicking them - Though I haven't checked that part yet.

The upside to doing different HAs is that you become less likely to get caught running them for days. The downside is not all of them are as good marks/xp as the rest. For me, I think it would be fun just to try to make the mac.

My intention for dead hills was to write 1 macro that rotates all 3 heroics stoping the ritual, into the hills, scouting ahead randomly but no one seemed interested. As far as looting stuff and clicking it that's easy. You have to track your task using events since we don't have quest TLOs for what step you're on. I said it in another thread no idea why its not in mq2 when its in our UI in game so it should be do able.

I'd be interested in that if you want some help with it. Would it be based on tank pulling? It might be moot with Maskoi's new project of using KA to do these HAs.

I was not referring to just you. But running something like this for weeks on end is exactly why its a bad idea to release them and why most people do not do it. I did it because it was just a mod to the original macro. frankly if maskoi was smart he would abandon the kiss task system and refund the people who donated. As much as some of us would use them responsibly others would abuse it and draw attention to it and get all of us banned.

I'm working on my own task system that is chanter specific. Working on getting it to 'read' the task window and then have events in the ini for each task that tell it what to do and where. If I get it working it will be released to anyone, but it won't be as good as the system Mask is doing I imagine.

I don't agree with you.
First off, if SOE was really looking to ban people, they would be banning them left and right.
So far we've heard of one incident with the Heroic task. More than likely a disgruntled player reported them, not SOE using a magnifying glass to search for Botters.

Sounds more like you are over-reacting for some reason, what ever that might be.
