We are doing some raid activities and with more and more users using your plugins, we are finding the offtanks, when not actively off-tanking, are struggling with agro control. The modes work great in group situations, but we cannot find a mode that doesnt draw agro unless the plug-in in paused. Any chance of a switch to turn agro off or on? or a Vorpal Mode that does no agro?

Just read in your FAQ that manual mode with Role of Tank off in group fixes the agro issue.

So... From your FAQ:

"Q. How do I make it not taunt?
A. You will use your tanking type stuff (including taunt) if you are in a tank mode (like 4, 5, 7, or 8), or you are assigned as Main Tank in your group window assignment. If you don't want to do tanking stuff (like taunt) put yourself in a non-tank mode (like 0 manual, 1 assist, etc) and don't be assigned as main tank in your group window. This will allow you to on-the-fly swap to doing tank stuff and non-tank stuff (like if you are off-tanking and need to swap with another tank). You can just quickly adjust your mode, or group assignment. "

I have been testing Vorpal Mode, which according to the description is an assist mode:

Mode 3 - Vorpal Mode (Assist but no camp or chase)

With the group role set to Tank, it will taunt... I feel your last statement is incorrect in that it should say "You can just quickly adjust your mode, and group assignment"

While I now understand how this works, I dont like having to switch two things, when I should just have to switch one thing. IMO anything with assist in its name, should not agro, anything with tank in its name should agro. Perhaps I am missing something in the big picture.

Actually the whole statement is wrong...
It could be reworded to "You will use your tanking type stuff (including taunt) in all modes if your group role is set to Main Tank. You can just quickly adjust your mode, and group assignment. " ".

If u dont want to be tanking, dont be assigned as tank or in a tank mode.

If u are assigned as a tank and/or in a tank mode you will do tanking stuff.

Pretty straight forward

From the FAQ:

A. You will use your tanking type stuff (including taunt) if you are in a tank mode (like 4, 5, 7, or 8), or you are assigned as Main Tank in your group window assignment. You can just quickly adjust your mode, or group assignment.

Some Examples:

Mode: 0 (manual) - YES set as group main tank = going to taunt and do tanking stuff, will not auto engage
Mode: 1 (assist) - YES set as group main tank = going to taunt and do tanking stuff (defensive routine etc), but will engage on the assist to get target rather than auto grab mobs as they enter range
Mode: 1 (assist) - NOT set as group main tank = NOT going to taunt or do tanking stuff, but will engage on the assist target once mob enters camp radius
Mode: 3 (vorpal) - YES set as group main tank = going to taunt and do tanking stuff (defensive routine etc), but will engage on the assist to get target rather than auto grab mobs as they enter range
Mode: 3 (vorpal) - NOT set as group main tank = NOT going to taunt or do tanking stuff, but will engage on the assist target once mob enters range
Mode: 4 (Tank) - NOT set as group main tank = going to taunt and do tanking stuff (defensive routine etc), including grabbing targets for your group
Mode: 2 (Chase) - YES set as group main tank = going to taunt and do tanking stuff (defensive routine etc), but will engage on the assist target once in range

Q. What "Modes" does this have?
A. Has access to all of the CWTN plugin "Modes"
Mode 0 - Manual --- Manual
Mode 1 - Assist --- assist your MA and returns to camp
Mode 2 - ChaseAssist --- chasses and assists your MA
Mode 3 - Vorpal Mode (Assist but no camp or chase)
Mode 4 - Tank --- tank stuff
Mode 5 - PullerTank --- pull and then tank
Mode 6 - Puller Assist pull and then assist MA
Mode 7 - SicTank --- sets a camp like mode 4, but does not sit down or return to the camp - useful if manually pulling
Mode 8 - HunterTank --- runs around in your pull radius killing stuff

so since now I'm getting PMs despite answering this here with examples.

Let's say you are wanting to tank and swap to assist at some point. Your best bet would be not being group leader (this will save you a step in your hotkey/social whatever - since if you are in a tank mode and are group leader you will currently assign yourself as such).

So now you're not group leader (to save step) and NOT assigned as group main tank in the group window

you want to do tank stuff - you can /shd mode 4 or /she mode 7 or whatever tanking mode you want to be in - and now you're doing defensive tank stuff
you no longer want to do tank stuff - you can /shd mode 0, 1, 2, 3, 6 and now you are in one of the assist modes and since you are in an assist mode and not assigned as main tank - you will your non-tanking routine

Tank/NotTank Swapping Checklist of Amazinglyness:
Not Assigned as Group Main Tank in the Group Window
Not Group leader (so you don't auto assign yourself roles)

Then a couple of social hotkeys can make swapping easy.

(I like tossing in a resetcamp as going from one camp mode to another does not remove/recreate your camp - doing the resetcamp would allow you to have your camp set to right where you are now, for example)
DerpTank7
/shd mode 7
/shd resetcamp

DerpAssist1
/shd mode 1
/shd resetcamp

Alternatively, if you didn't want to have someone else be the group leader you could have another line in your social to utilize the everquest grouproles commands to un-assign yourself as group main tank since a tanking mode and group leader will assign you as group main tank in the window as previously mentioned - you would just use either a saved group roles set, or just unassign the tanking group role
