Problem - After patch modbot will not buff

Prior to the patch everything was working perfectly with modbot. After patch no one will buff anymore. Occasionally, enchanter and shaman will throw some buffs on the bard, but that's it. Netbots is confirmed on, and everyone is connected to eqbcs2. Doing letsgo and buffson does nothing. I have tried zoning and that does not clear anything up. Any ideas?

I had that issue before myself and I think it's because netbots isn't loaded. Check that and it might fix your issue.

Not sure his issue, we're running same modbot files and mines buffing and doing everything.
Maybe do a /bcaa //plugin mq2netbots and then reload it?

Working OK for me. For netbots, also make sure you have the following in each of your <servername>_<charname>.ini file in your MQ2 directory:

[MQ2NetBots]
Stat=1
Send=1
Grab=1

So I deleted a spell on one toon and he immediately rememed and everyone started buffing. It was like a spell gem was stuck messing up all buffing.

I fixed my nuking issue with netbots. I went through every character and made sure its working. I then rebooted my computer and now my toons arent buffing. Im alos unable to use the /mb command too

I started having this same issue tonight. None of my toons are buffing. Strange thing is it started happening hours after I was already playing. Went to PoS, everything was fine. Decided to take my toons to kill Phinny and while doing a test making sure one of my druids was going to recast EB in time on every char they all stopped buffing.

They still heal just fine and cast debuffs. Just not buffs.
Actually my enchanter is still casting buffs. The cleric, druid and shaman are not.

EDIT: Unsure if this info will help, but if I delete the first spell it will remem it. However, if I remove any other spell nothing happens. They just stand there like all is normal.

EDIT: After more testing, I changed my heal gem slot from 1 to 4 and deleted it. The toon immediately memmed it into slot 4. I also changed my Talisman to be in gem slot 1. It didn't try to mem it when I deleted it though. So they are ignoring the buff spells for some reason

Same problem everyone stopped buffing (again). Haven't made any changes lately and this comes and goes randomly. Only character that will buff is enchanter.

Check your Radius? Are hostile NPC's in your Radius? If so, the bots won't buff. And check your ZRadius. I think the defaults are very large. I usually dial mine back quite a bit.

Bump. Having similar issues. Certain spells just won't cast. They start to cast and get interrupted by starting to cast again. A spell will work on a toon, then after logging/zoning, all the sudden another spell will not work. I'll try using the /alias /mb /echo mb- when I get back into game.

No issues here at all, it must be the way your ini is setup if you PM me it I don't mind looking it over. A lot of my friends have had issues and I've helped them with similar problems. The issue is 100% not the modbot macro
But def make sure netbots is loaded on all and do /bcaa //netbots send=1 then /bcaa //netbots grab=1
If that's enabled on all its something in your ini or you're using EQBCS just the normal server and not using EQBCS2
By far EQBCS has given many people issues and just by switching to EQBCS2 it fixes a lot of the buffing and targeting.
Would be pretty sweet if we could see DanNet implemented somehow but that is reaching for the stars.

This happened to me last night. All it took was me engaging a mob and after that everyone went back to business as usual. Not really a fix but it's worked for me a couple of times if/when modbot locks up.

I have never had any of these issues. I noticed that people are mentioning EQBCS server here, and I have seen it elsewhere. I always use the version that comes out with the builder. I do not know which one is on VV, or which one EQBCS2 is. I'll attach the one that is from the current builder, if you guys want to give that a shot.

Woobs advice on the radii is a big key. The other thing is adjusting your mobs in range array to only add mobs that are KOS. Adjusting those 2 things fixed my buffing issues.

[AdvDebuff]
ADCount=4
ADNewFormat=1
ADMobMax=24
ADCheckTime=2
ADAggroOnly=1
ADHold=0|1|1| 1=on 0=off|Debuff spell #|Time to wait for debuff|
ADCoolDown1=
ADCoolDown2=
ADCoolDown3=
ADCoolDown4=
ADCoolDown5=

I know this is somewhat counter-intuitive, but you need to check the debuff section and see what your ADAggroOnly line. See below from the Wiki:
ADAggroOnly=[0,1,2]
  • 0 - off (do not check Aggressive/Targets) (default).
  • 1 - only add mobs to the mob list if they are Aggressive and if someone in your group, raid, or in NetBots is the mob's target. Only use this option on bots that cast on targets that are NOT the main assist's target (e.g. chanter mezzing adds).
  • 2 - only add mobs to the mob list if they are Aggressive (do not check for TargetofTarget)
  • Please note: ADAggroOnly is not terribly reliable at times. If you are having issues with one of your bots auto-aggroing mobs (when they are not the tank), try setting ADAggroOnly=0 and then ADTarType=1 or 11.

VV gives both with the launcher you can select the EQBCS or EQBCS2. Which is where I see people having issues. For some reason EQBCS does not preform efficently as EQBCS2. Multiple people I know had these buffs/targeting issues and just switching to the newer server worked every time.
