is there anyway to check range from target and have the character move accordingly prior to casting? Like moving into melee range for PBAE, and backing up far enough to be out of AE range when casting targted AE spells?
 
No. Downshits always fire so how would your toon know when to ae and when to not ae?
 
Didn't know if there was a check for mobs in xtarget or something. if value > 3/4/5 then AE? That's what I was hoping atleast :)

awesome! that looks about right :) Now, how to check distance from npc and then move back x steps if needed? is this possible in a shit? =D
