Question - Advanced Loot System: General Question

I did some research and learned that the Advanced Loot system was not tied to an particular expansion. It was released in 2015. This was after the release of the current EqEmu Client RoF2.

I was wondering, even though the system is not tied to specific expansion, it very well could require at least whatever client was live at the time.

Is my assumption correct?

If you are talking about emu, then yes that is the case. All live servers will use advloot though.
